That is a very cool mail call Danny! Blackland (Shane) makes some great razors. You should do it Paul. I saw Paul M in the mid/late 80s at Texas Stadium (the original one where they forgot to finish the roof). It was a good show, at least what I saw of it (the first 30 minutes). Back then, I was in college working 2 jobs, one at a music store, another working security at Texas Stadium (free concerts to a college kid -> BONUS). However, my section, front floor OMG $ seats, had a seat dispute with two inebriated mid 30 something women. I was motioned to 'handle it'. As much as guys sit and dream about this....it isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially if you're the one breaking it up. Arm (& one face) lacerations from tough fingernails take a long & painful time to heal.....they spent time in the stadium jail waiting for transport, and I spent time after that 10 minute walk at the stadium's emergency room. Now...the funnest concert was The Backstreet Boys. The audience scenery....quite the spectacle. so much Danny!
Thank you Danny. Don’t send too much. A couple of shaves worth is very generous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There's nothing wrong with treating yourself with a high end soap Danny! It's the stratospheric priced soaps like Martin de Candre and Creed Adventus that makes me smh. Lol! We can't always buy top shelf items, but it's nice when we can do so.
MDC is cheap when you consider the length of time/amount of shaves it lasts.just a large outlay to purchase up front..creed aventus is just plain expensive..
Thank you, Gentlemen. No chance to keep up properly today, but did get to read through your excellent posts this evening.
I have never had an alum come to a natural end, this one went almost a year before falling. Alum is must for skin stretching for me. As expected we have the service crew on standby. It was noted in the Cartel’s audit committee there have been some unusual unapproved expenditures, we are stilling trying to find out who installed the ice cream machine on the jet. Charlie @wristwatchb or Mr Fancy Pants @BaylorGator . Then there is the issue of the case of the Veg and the cleaning fee to remove the odor.

Thanks, Clint! I do have the SB baseplate. A bit less blade feel so it feels a little smoother. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
SOTD WEDNESDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 14, 2020 Well it seems I’m on a streak. My shave this morning was more than acceptable. The Riga Razor delivered a fine three pass (WTG, ATG, XTG) shave, but just feels large and clumsy in hand. I think at this point I prefer my vintage Japanese Silver Steel and old cast steel Sheffield razors. They feel more balanced to me, and much more comfortable to shave with. I may have been unduly influenced by my son, Ben, who claims that many modern razors are gimmicky with either shortened or unnecessarily extended spines and blade widths. He stated that that was not the case with my Dovo Special or with modern TI or Boker. He encouraged me to try the Riga as it is also more traditional in design. If I end up pursuing modern artisan razors I’ll probably stick with traditional designs. My dome shave featured another Valet Auto Strop model, the VC1. I loaded and restropped the Feather FAS-10 blade from yesterday’s shave in the VB2 Auto Strop. The result was another excellent two pass ((ATG, ATG) dome shave that left the noggin feeling smooth and velveteen after the 888 Splash from RazoRock. The Soap Commander lather was ok, but at this point I definitely prefer MWF and Nancy Boy to any artisan soap I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot. Most of them are slick, but all the ones I’ve tried leave my skin feeling dry after the shave as does Soap Commander. Lush Prince does not, but that is a brushless cream in the same category as the Cremo and Headblade Slick products. The only unscented soap bases I’ve not tried are the PAA CK6 and the A&E Shave Butter. I’ve ordered both. We’ll see. I feel clean and refreshed. RAZOR: Riga Razor 7/8 (Mug), Valet Auto Strop Model VC1 ( Dome) BLADE: Feather FAS-10 Carbon Steel PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Argan Oil BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger Fan Knot SOAP: Soap Commander Honor POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin Soap followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with RazoRock 888 Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Splash.
