on the way....thought i would try it for it's performance merits..starting to enjoy the freedom of neutral/unscented soaps..pairs with ..anything..
So, I ended up signing for a new MOS for the Marines, my recruiter said the last job I chose filled up, so I went ahead and chose another job that I qualified for based off my asvab, Hopping I can sign for the job soon and he can get me locked in, looks like a real cool job. MOS 0800 Field Artillery! been doing a little research on where I could be stationed based on that MOS, I don't know all of them, However I know one of them is Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Not to0 far from home, at least that's in my parents Favor.
First shave with the brass Blackbird. I loaded a fresh Feather in the bird and whipped up some slick Figaro and went to town. The Yaqi brush was a lather hog this morning. Three passes and an almost BBS shave. One little red spot showed up above my Adam's apple after a rinse....No biggie. Finished the shave with Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger. Smooth and smelling great. So what do I think about the Bird. It is an awesome razor that is easy to find the angle on....very efficient. It has a great feel in the hand and the handle has surprised me...very secure grip. The razor does seem to want to stick to my face. I mean it feels like it is dragging. I think that is due to the flat face on the top cap. It may have more surface area in contact with the skin. I may be wrong but I'll change the soap up next go around and if it changes. I would like to know if Clint @clint64 or Jim @jluc has experienced this. Overall, a very nice and enjoyable shave. Looking forward to the next drive. Take care everone.
thank you Myles. very cool Myles..sounds like you'll be blowing stuff up with a big cannon from a great distance..
OCtober Focus Art of Shaving Sandalwood~~Simpson CH3~~WR2/Sharp Star Still rockin' the WR2 OC. Once again, loaded with the Sharp Star blade (3). The CH3 whipped the cream into a frenzy of fantastic foam (I usually abhor that term) Here's something new: I started the shave with an ATG pass on my neck. Yup. You read it correctly. My theory being, if my neck hasn't yet endure two previous passes, it might receive the ATG pass without any irritation. Not quite sure that holds water, but the pass was successful, albeit not resulting in an immediate BBS. Continued the shave as normal, and the baby is in the house. Love the scent of this AoS product and the post-shave gel and balm are top-notch.

Wednesday's Shave #OCtober Gillette NEW LC Voskhod (2) Semogue 820 Boar WSP Olympus Shaving Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel WSP Olympus Aftershave We returned home yesterday evening from Alabama, so this morning I had my full supply of shave gear at my disposal. The WSP Olympus was up to bat today. 2.5 passes with the Gillette NEW LC provided a comfortable BBS result with no irritation or mishaps.
thank you Clint..i had a budget for one new soap and there isn't any A&E new base soaps in canada yet.i saw this product on the 30 dc a few times recently..a truly crew enabled purchase..it better be good...
Great looking shave Danny. The Blackbird has a flat edge much like the Mongoose. The trick is not to ride the cap like a SE. Start out that way and drop the handle a touch. The drag should go away.
