2020-10-16, Friday

Today I woke up at 2 a.m. and shaved at 3 a.m.!

I felt like using powdery scents, so, also for ethnic continuity, I chose another Dutch soap, the De Vergulde Hand, often accused of bad post shave, it has, instead, turned out to be not only very satisfactory in terms of smoothness, but it also left my skin in perfect condition.

The Polsiver, which disappointed me on the Progress, was fantastic.

It was time that I did not have such a good FBBS!

And, in wet and gray weather, I just happened to light the fireplace.
The chimney was cold and I had the studio overflowing with smoke: I felt like a terrorist that had to be flushed out by the SWAT!

PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Argan Oil
BRUSH: JR #343 Synthetic
SOAP: Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite.

The Proraso Red Shaving Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #1 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Eversharp-Schick G1 razor with a Personna injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
