OCtober Focus La Savonnière du Moulin~~Simpson Emperor 3~~WR2-OC/Wilkinson Chromium~~SMN Nostalgia Quick post before heading out. Superlative results with the best vintage blade known to man. The Donkey Milk soap is a winner to. Hee-haw. Put the SMN back on the shelf and grabbed my St. Johns Bay Rum. Winner, winner chicken dinner. See everybody domani.
Well, that's part of what I like doing in here...silly, good-natured humor. The best kind. Thank you, Jeff....nice to hear that.
OCtober 17th Razor: Blackland Vector OC Blade: Feather AC Pro (4) Brush: Yaqi Moka Express Pre-shave: PAA Cube Soap: Fine Santal Absolut PAA Galactic Witch Hazel B&M unscented balm AS: Fine Santal Absolut Sandalwood Saturday Good morning! Super Sandalwood Saturday shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. A little extra warmth from the alum in the hollows of my neck. The open comb baseplate for the Vector arrived yesterday. I don't notice a difference between it and the safety bar baseplate. It might benefit someone that goes longer than I between shaves. An awesome razor with either baseplate. Have a great weekend! I see we're on the same wavelength, Andrew. Professional help is available. I'm glad we get the group rate through the 30DC. Pass the poutine and cookies, please.
Some thoughts... Dueling Banjos: Come on, who doesn't have a smile after hearing that. Nosepicking: It's like a tree falling in the woods when nobody is around. Excessive Flatulence: It's proven to be beneficial to blood pressure.
October 17, 2020 Wolfman SS WR-1 OC (0.61mm) Feather Antica Barberia Boar LEA Classic Shave Soap & After Shave I managed to sleep in a little later this morning. Time for a change on the hardware. Up my SS Wolfman WR1-OC with the original 0.61mm blade gap along with the Antica Barbera brush made by Mondial. This is the same brush @Primotenore recommends but with a matte finish. The boar did a wonderful job loading and lathering the LEA Classic. @Droo78 I did notice the menthol this morning. The cooling effect is there but less than Proraso Green. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave. A splash of the aftershave and I am off to work for much of the day. I will be back in plenty of time for the UGA game tonight. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
The Vector looks super cool with the OC baseplate, Jim. Now I'm wishing the Mongoose had an OC baseplate. Have a great weekend. Hopefully you are not working.
Good shave this morning. 0:40 to load the Sandpiper(Stoylin) soap. Tips only with the brush(another thing I've learned since being here). Spent extra time "painting my skin" with the brush(which I learned from seeing some of the videos). 1st pass caused an "issue" at North Porcupine Alley, which was helped some by the soap from the 2nd pass. No trip to ER necessary. Elsewhere, all went well. Sandpiper A.S. to finish off. Pretty Excellent. (Note: To be frank, I remain a bit annoyed at the exchange I had last night with the man who I won't identify, HOWEVER, your kind messages from last night and this morning have helped out a lot. I'm here to have fun with great folks, shave to the best of my ability, and learn skills when I can. Thank you, thank you ).
Thanks, Charlie! I'm off this weekend thankfully. Have a great weekend yourself! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
