thank you Leo.the head is early/mid 30s nickel plate new sc open comb and the handle is an early 50s french solid thin tech handle.fine balance,great weight and very nimble.the ball end tech handle replaced it in later years depending on market..fine smooth efficient shaver..

 

After having been haunted by this razor from afar for four years it became today’s Shave of the Day. I knew from my trading partner that the grind was a near wedge and expected a shave very much like the Ragg Paragon I’ve been trying to dial in. Nope, it was more like my favorite 1941 Russian razor. Like a butter knife that somehow cuts whiskers. But, the heck with how it shaved, it was finally in hand. I’m still captivated by the beautiful clean lines. This is truly a case where a picture is worth a thousand words. It’s hard to say how satisfying having this razor is for me.

Prep: Warm shower / Original Source ~ Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.
Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Wilko Men's shave Oil.
Brush : Omega 10077.
Face Lather.
Soap : Proraso ~ Sandalwood.
Blade: Mers ~ SuperShave X Platinum. (1)
Razor: Ming Shi 2000s (Settings) 2.5-wtg,2.5-wtg, 3-atg+pick ups.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint Lavender, +eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Boots ~ Freshwood ASL./L'0REAL ~ Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

Early morning cold water shave,

I've mentioned in my past posting the Ming Shi 2000s is by far the most assertive/aggressive of all my adjustable razors.
The Ming Shi 2000s has a strong Love/Hate reputation within the wet shaving community...Mine was past on to me by a family friend, i also have a spare one too which i purchased myself as a spare both of them have good blade alignment, i personally find it to be a very good assertive razor. However, even on it's lowest setting it's still a very aggressive razor you must be it's master instantly when shaving with this Chinese made princess, It doesn't allow bad technique, or lack of concentration and most importantly the lightest of touch and much respect is vital if not, it'll bite you for sure.
Another excellent razor & blade duo mowing through my stubble with effortless ease..A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups BBS near shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of L'0REAL ~ Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with Olivewood Silvertip Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the PAA Bakelite Slant Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
