Sounds like you've come to the same conclusion as some others, Clint. MWF does seem to do better for folks with regular use. I'd be interested to see how it does for you if you pull it out for a day every 3rd week. Stunning shot, btw.
Sorry to hear that, Clint. I have a friend who constantly battles his BP as well, and I sympathize with how you must have to manage it after watching him deal with it through diet, medication, etc. I've been very lucky in that my BP has always been good, regardless of how stressful things get for me.
Very nice shave, pic and post Andrew! You don't see that many Schick C razors. You razor looks in excellent condition.
Exactly! 'Tis what we do... I do think that vintage 'high end' scents do get more of a break on here, though. No one seems to get bugged for using Colonia from 1916 (sidenote- who the heck was making Colognes in Europe during WW1 for pete's sake...) or the Aramis you mentioned, or even some of the Creed dupes based on 40 year old originals. It seems to be the more 'everyman' scents from yesteryears that get the give and take routine on here. I suspect it is because they are scents that we can relate to and remember as kids, perhaps in our Grandfather's or Dad's kits. Enough waxing poetically. Here is a summary- Shulton and Brut good, Clubman and Tabac bad...
Pulling out an Omega Pro is never a bad idea, Danny! I do find the smaller non-Pro knots to be not as good, but I think yours is a 20106, iirc. Similar knot to the Pro48.
Thank you Jason. I will try to use it most Fridays so it will be interesting to see how it works for me.
I agree, Joe, but do have a preference for some over others. I pitched a few shorter lofted Boars a few years ago (a TGN boar and a WD boar, if memory serves). I am a fan of the large Omega Pros for example, and only like the softer Zeniths if they are set deeply enough.
Lovely combo, Gary. The brush and razor look made for each other. T&S has been getting some play on here lately. I've heard Boreal compared to Stirling Coniferous. Do you have both?
Thank you Jason. My blood pressure was great until last year. Normally with meds it is consistently around 120/80. The doctor believes that my blood pressure going up and down is a symptom or reacting to something else going on. The blood test ruled out infections so I guess I will put up with it for the time being and hope it passes. Of course it good be the women in my life stressing me out.
thank you Jason,i just have the boreal..i stopped buying stirling soaps until i knock down the few i have..the intrepid man looks interesting though, any thoughts on scent ?
