Wade & Butcher For Barber’s Use 17/16” and the scales were in nice condition. Thuringian edge on this one for a little flavor. Couldn’t pass this soap up... Tom Selleck Enjoy your shave. Tom
The smile and swoopy lines get me every time. The best I can describe the shave is like a butter knife that cuts whiskers smoothly. The one challenge is on the chin area. Like all the near wedges or wedges I’ve used it’s hard for me to get skin level reduction on the first pass on the sharper chin curve from face to under the jaw. I have to go more at a diagonal in that section rather than straight north/south to get clean reduction. The pronounced smile is great for the neck and some touch ups on concave places on my face

A few more parts of my recent trade arrived today - this near NOS beauty of a classic old Ragg included. Another beauty in the den. Also another near wedge with just a little more hollow than Monday’s shave. What a difference that little bit makes. Totally different feel - a wonderful shave and another prized razor. French frameback 7/8 charles frères from nimes It's a rebranded Leresche (see logo). Finishing stone was a la veinette coticule. My experiences have shown me that it's a good finishing stone for french frameback.
