Wow, you are sure a fan of Ryan’s slants, Terry. They sound like a great, original project. What do you think of that soap?
Lovely, Pierpaolo. As usual, it takes months to even get through the logo on the top of the puck in those SVs. Has anyone ever actually finished one off?
Welcome home, Joseph, and congrats to your Son and his Bride. Congrats on the Culmak 92. She's a beauty. You have some gorgeous gear in your Den.
Thanks Jason! I have Tom's @twhite Devette, I was impressed. Ryan @PLANofMAN offered me a chance to use a devette slant. Well of course I was excited to try it out. Those two razor blade holders are super fantastic. They give me an impressive shave, the best I've ever had on an open blade. And easy to use too. The soap, I like it, got about 5 of the what the puck varieties. All good in my book. Can't beat the price. tp
thank you Jason..fine shave indeed,,good afternoon sir.. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-Gil...283936?hash=item1cf332e7e0:g:RqsAAOSww3FfYTIm
Thanks Jason. Now my mostly plastic Trac II handle goes in the carry-on bag. I held up a TSA line once while the officers scanned a piece of luggage repeatedly when they observed the silhouette of this handle. They were finally convinced it was a razor handle without having me unpack the bag.
Thanks Gary. I enjoy using it, but I have some work to do in order to get a near BBS shave in 2+ passes with the Trac II.
October 25th Razor: Dovo Inox Brush: The Blue Monster SS & AS: Stirling Executive Man No shave yesterday so today I took the rare opertunity to take off two days of growth with a straight. The shave was nice. Felt a little clumsy at first but I managed to get back into the groove. 3 passes to a BBS finish. Well except for my straight razor trouble spot under my chin on the left side. The hair there grows straight to the right but I have a hard time stretching the skin while going against the grain. So I usually just leave it almost BBS... Anyway it was great shave. Whenever I see the words "Quintessential" and "Sophisticated" I begin to get interested in whatever the soap is.
