I ain't scared.......yes I am! Terry @Terry this one is for you. I am not ready to use it yet but I'm getting there. I'll touch it up with a little paint but I figured you would like to see this one. I started to do this with the Bird but I figured Clint @clint64 would kill me. Wait a minute that is not funny.
Thanks Danny! Thank you Clint. Busy is good, oldest daughter's 18th bday, doc and vet visits for my father and his pet, lots of events work..... Sincerely appreciated Jason! Yep....busy=good & no news is good news on most counts. Thanks so much Gary! Thanks Jeff! Wifey approved even..... Thanks you Patrick! Appreciated Joe!
Battle of the brass starts tomorrow morning. Karve vs. Blackland Brass Blackbird. I thought I would start with some side by side pictures of the razors and their components. The handles are about the same length. What I found interesting was I thought the Bird would be heavier but the Karve just nudges the Bird out in weight. The Karve is 102.7 grams and the Bird is 101.9 grams. Almost the same. For now I have the C plate in the Karve but I may move up to the E plate. I don't have a D solid bar plate. I will be shaving with this same set up for the next three days using a new Feather in each razor for the start of this comparision. I will not be talking about price. The bird is polished. The Karve has more plate options. I believe you can only get an open comb or solid bar for the Bird. The machine work on both razors is exceptional. This will come down to how they compare to each other on the shaves. I will be using both razors each morning. Using one razor to shave one side of my face. This should be fun.
