Happy Hump Day everyone. This morning I loaded the Fat until I thought I had enough and then loaded some more. This was my best lathering results by far. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS. A splash of Bay Rum and I think I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

good morning gents..another peacefully quiet morning, coffee brewing..lathered up the new to me A&E kaizen shave soap with the restored rubberset 200-3 .the first thought scentwise to me was juicy fruit gum..lovely sweet scent, very slick, the brit new rfb/platinum combo glided over the face to produce a smooth bbs in 2+ fine passes.as i didn't purchase the matching splash,(i normally don't with unknown scents) i paired it up with the burberry brit edt.similar vein scent wise at least off the top.was it worth all the hype and wait? absolutely..easily as good if not better than castle forbes and others, and at half the price.while the scent is nice i will replace my future purchases of A&E with different scents as they all will be coming available in this soap base..i am not a soap expert by any rate as all my soap purchases have been excellent performers in my mind, this stuff is pretty damn good..of course i love the their other products as well.awesome..have a fine day everyone..

    Battle of the brass....round one!

This little comparison is going to be tougher than I thought. These razors are close.

I whipped up a generous amount of Figaro with the Razorock 400. Good Stuff! Loaded two new Feathers in each razor and alternated the razors from side to side during the three pass shave.

These razors are close but the Bird has a little blade feel and Karve does not. The Karve had plate C this morning and in the morning I will use plate E in the Karve. This may make a difference. Both razors are smooth and efficient but I think the Karve is slightly smoother.

I am smooth and both razors do not disappoint. A little American Tobacco by Andy Hilfiger and I am ready for the day.

Stay tuned for round two in the morning.

Hope every one has a great day!

  17. I was quite pleased with my shave this morning. It had been a long time since my last use of Stoylin Spice, so I brought it out to put it to work for me. 0:25 to load the soap onto the Maggard(Marble Handle)brush, which is in a tie with my Jayaruh for most attractive. Again, got the soap a little wet with the swirling. Need more time to shake off the brush prior to loading, I'd say. But a solid first pass, nevertheless. I can ALMOTST say I've mastered that area at the left border of North Porcupine Alley the way I have with the two "Y" edges of Cactus Nation,. But I still need a few more shaves to have similar success with that pesky area of C.N. that is just below the jawline on the right side. At least it doesn't look like a "rough"(Golf terminology)as it used to. 2nd pass was equally solid. I came through with no cuts or Knicks. That is ALWAYS good news. Stoylin Spice aftershave to close it out. Man, that tingle comes out strong at the beginning. It settles down after about a half-hour. Super Duper Excellent.

  19. Y'know, a cookie is an easy thing to pick off the tray, so as to foul up the number of cookies to match someone's order.
  20. Hi there Gary, and thanks :). That's the strange thing about disposeABLES....sometimes I do end up nick free, but not all times. Perhaps that leads to the "technique trumps tools" persuasion of shave life.
