    Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

    Have a great day!

  5. Excellent shave Jeff.
  6. I agree, Evan! He only has about 20 that he uses regular! The rest are on display in frames in his man cave!

  7. Good morning all.
Took my Devette slant for a tour this morning.
2 passes face 2 passes head with a new Feather blade of course.

Why 2 passes instead of 3.
With the devette blade holders I'm not sure the 3rd pass does much good.
When I only did a 1 pass yesterday it was eye opening.
So for a while I'll only do 2 passes to see how it compares.
I have some feelings that the slant Devette is slightly more efficient than the linear devette.
Not by much, might just be the angle is not the same, so the jury is still out.
Anyway I'm clean, smooth and just as I like.
The place where I had a razor bounce on the back of the head the other day is a little sore, but no leakage.
Other than that it was issue free.

The rain stopped, finally, and the rumor is that the sun is supposed to make an appearance today.
    That would be nice.

    Enjoy!

    Razor: Frederick Reynolds 5/8”
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Malle Burl
Lather: Declaration Grooming After the Rain
Aftershave: Declaration Grooming After the Rain
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera

It is still pouring out and super damp and cold, however, I deemed this software to be appropriate. This combination was the first Declaration Grooming soap I tried in sample form approximately three years ago.

Excellent shave this morning leaving my face smooth without any irritation. A very nice scent to wear under the mask.
    Happy Friday gentlemen.

  14. Great shave, Terry! I find that I generally only need two ATG passes with a Feather Super for an extremely close dome shave. Glad your shave went well! It’s been raining for two days non-stop here in the Philly burbs.

  17. Thank you Jason. The ABB is a very nice soap. It is packaged in a very nice glass container, triple milled and should last forever. It is lightly scented but that should allow one to use any aftershave or cologne they desire.

  19. Lovely shave, Joe! I love my Frederick Reynolds, which I initially assumed would require professional honing because of the wavy blade. I’m glad I finally honed it, although Glen chided me for not taping the spine. It now shaves beautifully! Stay safe my friend; I’m keeping the embroidered uggs and silk bathrobe ready for your MOLC membership ceremony in eight months!

I get really great sevice from the devettes, I suppose a 3rd pass does somthing, but not sure if it's worth the extra lather.
Ya know, I was excited and a little apprehensive to use a devette when it first hit my mailbox.
But really, it's no big deal after using it for a few days ya know.

The rain stopped around 2am this morning.
Now it's just messy and cool outside.
