  1. Another course in colour matching by Jim! I don't recall seeing that brush before, Jim. Is it newer?
Well, Terry, you have morphed into our true safety razor 'boundary pusher'. I can't wait to see what you come up with for MAYhem at this rate...
I always look forward to your brushes in your pics, Joe. You have such a unique collection with so many makers and designs I haven't seen very often.
Sounds like a great razor, Jeff. Happy Fat Friday.
Thanks for the great comparison this week, Danny.
9.9 for the Blackbird? FYI, I'm sure Clint would accept a payment plan...
That razor/brush combo is just an iconic, all-time top tier pairing of hardware, Gary. The Jeeves will do it justice, too.
You could bust out of a prison with that thing!
Glad to hear you didn't get any significant damage, Clint. I look forward to hearing how the Fat does with less usage as well.
I usually do a 'No Repeat November' and try to get through most of the stuff in the den.
I'm intrigued by that AS, Andrew. It has lots of fans on here for sure. I assume it does a nice job of covering up the Tabac?:)

  5. Thank Jason!

Clint did offer a payment plan. 12 months interest free but he was needed collateral. The only thing I would offer up was the 25.6 ounces of Brut but he refused for some reasons.:D

  6. Thank you Danny. I am sorry but I already have a lifetime supply of Brut. :D

  7. The shapes of the handles are fairly unique and pleasing to the eye. Looking through Etsy, some of the styles are unique and not at all pleasing.

  13. Agreed. I am probably guilty sometimes of viewing turnings through a technical lens...How was that piece held? How was that blank poured? What was used to make that distressing? etc.
Others may look at something and say 'Man, that is ugly' and I usually get to that conclusion myself after figuring out how it is made. Some of my more unique stuff has hit my garbage pile for sure, or if I like it I send it off to a friend to use (or not) to get another opinion.

  15. Impressive, Jason, but you still need to throw in some over the top insults for good measure. Maybe you could do it in a polite Canadian way. Or maybe you could call someone a hoser and put a cute emoji expression next to it. I’m not sure how it would work exactly since I don’t speak Canadian, but you get the gist of it anyway.
  16. I'll have to just load the brush heavier. :D

  19. I was intrigued too and it ended up in my shopping cart.
Its scent is unlike any other aftershave I have in the collection. Great traditional formula, long lasting terrific scent and brisk skin feel with a nice kick of menthol. Tabac makes a good foundation for the overall experience though. ;)
  20. OCtober 30th

Razor: Gillette NEW LC w/ Husky bar Rounded Shoulder Handle
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: MrEE Gold Chalice
SS & AS: Stirling Black Cherry

Later shave this morning as I got up early to get a couple projects done.

I love OCtober, but I have several new razors which are not OC and I am a rule follower. The NEW LC did great. 2 passes to a DFS finish. The black cherry is really nice when you want a food scent.

    Happy Friday everyone!
