Let's finish this month out the way it started, using an OC razor.
This month, I focussed on my WR2 OC razor and here are a few of my thoughts.

Fit 'n finish are excellent. the parts fit together tightly and the razor, itself, reeks of quality.
James is a fine machinist and he offers a quality product for the money.
I chose a blade gap of 1.15mm. No reason why, but I did.

Could I use a larger gap? Certainly, but that is no guarantee of a better shave, just more blade feel.
While the look of the Darwin handle is gorgeous, here's where if I had it to do over again,
I would make another choice. This handle is somewhat awkward to hold and
because there is zero knurling, tends to be slippery. Live and learn, I guess.
Perhaps, I'll offer it up for a trade...the handle, that is.
The lather today was courtesy of our Spanish soap-master Manuel Garcia.
He is one of the most talented soap-makers I know and his soap bases
rank as some of the very best on today's market. His scents are mature, refined and intoxicating.
This particular tobacco soap is my absolute favorite, with my second favorite being ASW Old Virginia.
The brush is the Culmak 92. It's massive 31mm knot is without peer in my den.
Is bigger always better? No, but this badger hair must've come from a really pampered beast.
Three passes and the Wilkinson Light Brigade is starting to show its age.
It takes an extremely keen edge to mow down my neck hair on the ATG pass,
ESPECIALLY, because I refuse to press down. So, today's results would not pass the cotton ball test.
Finished with the matching balm and the old Brylcreem saying:
    iu.jpg
    is applicable with this product.
Absorbs quickly and has superlative moisturizing properties.
    Smells great, too!
Hope everyone had a great month. The participation in this thread has been outstanding.
It's a real pleasure and an honor to count myself a member of TSD and, in particular,
    the 30 day crew.
    See you next month.

  3. Wonderful shave and report, Joseph!
When my Wolfman number comes up I was thinking either the Darwin or the WRH7. Your report and Clint's pictures has me seriously considering the WRH2.

  15. Paul - I have always called it the “X”. I guess you can consider it “One”. I guess my reason for calling it the “X” is the RR in the past also had a “XX” and “XXX”. I believe they still offer the “XXX”
