November 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix & Discussion

I'm hoping you can clear up a question, Danny. With Rockwell baseplates, which way should the desired number level be configured. For example, your picture shows R6 on the bottom. Are you shaving with the R5 level (which shows on the other side facing up) or is it the R6 level being used. Thanks in advance.

good afternoon gents,late canadian shave today.the canadian prewar/platinum performed well, smooth near bbs in 2 + passes.always take me a shave or 2 to get the techs dialed in.fine handsome grouse lather built by the bbj custom omega,a real shame this soap company doesn't make soaps anymore.glad i scored a few pucks of last stock.very similar to MWF in lather quality and slickness,but easier to lather..av original sport to finish.awesome.have a fine rest of day everyone..

Very nice shave Evan. I have not used my red or blue tip in a while. You may have just inspired me to bust out one of them this week.

 

Well I like my head glosssy smooooth. Even moreso than my face. But if I have to shave the night before to BBS in order to wake up to DFS, then is there a difference to just doing a quick DFS in the AM, I ask myself?. I just am not a morning person, so if done in the AM it needs be quicker.

 

The new Henson razors, Aluminium for C$90 now have their razor in Titanium for C$270.
I may try the aluminum to replace my aluminum Lupo as a light touchup razor as I don't like it's blade feel. . Whover's tried it please chime in
The Titanium price is waaaay out of line though.

Great Red Tip shave! I think many of us who start straight shaving regularly, have found that our safety razor shaves have improved as well! Skin stretching is key!

Early morning shave, afternoon post. Laid out a bit of a plan to the No Repeat focus and scheduled this software for the 1st Tobacco Tuesday of the month. Love these scents for sure.
2nd use of the Katana. 2nd day of the 1/2 Nacet as well. Made sure the blade was back against the pins and really concentrated on reducing pressure as much as possible. Much better results today. One minor weeper and way less irritation than yesterday. Results were excellent. There is quite a sizeable blade gap, which I'll try to photograph tomorrow. I'll load in the other half of the snapped blade for another shave tomorrow and then get going on the rotational focus for razors as well.
