    I have had the F.W. Engel straight razor for over a year. I bought this soap awhile back In fact I bought the last 2 tubs and matching aftershaves. The company still exists, but discontinued their shaving soap and aftershave products. They are still in business, but they only make bar soaps and other things. They are located in Nashville and donate a portion of their profits to support the country music industry.

    ‘Tis the same razor, Danny, just with a different finish it appears. The only difference is that I used a Nacet instead of your Astra. That shouldn’t make that much of a difference.
    It really was only the first day I saw some red. It is a keeper, I think.

    Old Spice and Spice dupes pair quite nicely with this soap, Joe. This Reserve Spice is fairly close to Shulton to my nose as well. A quality product.

    The brush I ordered from Italy arrived today. Shipping label created Monday. Shipping was 24.95, now I see why. That was quick!
    I tried getting a decent picture but had no luck. It's gorgeous. I'll post a picture the next time I have the opportunity for a daylight shot.

    What do you think of the Barbedeaux, Cliff? I’ve heard it described as an excellent product with a weird, medicinal scent.

    I have tried Nacets in the pass and they just cut me up. May have to try one in this razor and see how it goes. Maybe a few more shaves and it will be better.
