  1. Always learn neat info when you post about your unique Euro vintages, Gary. Very cool.
What a brush, Andrew! Another unique pour. You have a few of ‘em.
You are bang on about the ‘49, Joe. Awesome.
Hang on to that Unconditional Surrender, Patrick...
I’ve only heard of Fried Green Tomatoes, have never seen or tasted them. Are they pretty much what they sound like, Terry?
Yes, I remember a few guys drowning themselves in Noir back then, Myles. They only stopped to splash on Polo Green or sample some Grey Flannel...

To each their own, although there are types of buttermilk I don't like too.

  5. It's hard to describe, you have to taste them to know.

  6. Unfortunately our laws in the UK won't allow us to to do this, that's not to say i wouldn't do the same to them. Certain ignorant callous people only understand physical violence, which doesn't make it right but it makes them think twice about doing it again. Discipline and self respect is something that I was taught by my parents.

  8. yea, It's like that with Axe today :sick007: Never really had any luck with any Ralph Lauren/polo scent. IMO I find them mediocre and they don't last long on me. However I definitely, much prefer Drakkar. Walmart carries a dupe of drakkar called "classic match Drakkar noir"It is a clone of the vintage juice and tbh I prefer that clone over the modern drakkar. It's only 7 bucks, really can't beat it. smells a lot more smoother and natural.

  9. Thank you, Jason! I've been very happy with Pitralon. It has a nice cedar scent (not long lasting though) and a great menthol kick.

I remember the rumor in high school of there being a certain production run of Drakkar Noir that contained Spanish Fly.
As far as I know, it was just a rumor...:rolleyes005:

  12. Thanks Jason! In my opinion, the Pro 49 is one of the best values for brushes.

  13. I never owned Noir, believe it or not! I did have a few bottles of Grey Flannel, though.

Just checked out your Den post, Andrew. Very impressive indeed! Love a lot of your splashes- so many classics.

  15. Noir was popular here as was Polo. At first the Green didnt appeal to me until about 10 uses then I liked it .

  16. Reading about Nacet blades and having tried Israeli Reds (Personna Platinum Chrome) I'm considering buying more of both. I have 98 of each which is below the critical 300 restocking level.

My official stance on both is excellent. I may give the Personna a slightly higher score for smoothness, but at 25 cents each they're a high priced luxury item and a 31.8 year supply of Personna blades will pay for 63.6 years of Nacet blades. For and extra 31.8 years I can put up with slightly less smoothness.

  17. Thanks, Jason. The den has grown more than I expected and it may be time to pare down the soaps a bit.

I still enjoy using Grey Flannel EdT occasionally.

  18. The bulk pack of Personna Platinum Chrome I have is made in Germany. It’s a smooth blade too.

  19. TGIF with a big smiling Mike Martinez blade. The Shavemac 2 band the CK-6 formula added to the luxurious shave. What to spray when Clubman does seem like enough? :signs002::signs002::signs002::signs002::signs002: Kouros :shocked029:
