Great shave, Joe! The VC4 is my favorite Valet and an incredible head-shaver! You should try stropping, like Evan I’ve reached 20 + shaves with the Feather FAS-10 blades. Evan has had success stropping the FHS-10 blades.
November 6, 2020 Pils 101NL Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow Thäter 4125/3 Mitchell’s Wool Fat Dominica Grand Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Friday everyone. Back to MWF for Fat Friday. I weighed the soap last weekend and weighed it again last night recording the same weight each time. Obviously the soap is not drying out over the week while sitting on the counter. I did put a little water on top of the soap to soak while I showered. The Thater 4125/3 is a very soft brush so it took more time to load the MWF. Once loaded, I face lathered adding water slowly with fantastic results. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave. Once again I used alum on my finger tips to skin stretching in the problem areas. A splash of Dominica Bay Rum AS and I am so not ready for work today. Maybe a little time in the office and work remotely this afternoon. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
I am so excited! My package from Clint's @clint64 den thinning will be arriving today. I am thankful to Clint for offering these toys to me at a great price and he knows they are going to a loving home. When they get here I'll post some pictures. Is the anticipation killing y'all?
