  1. I am not stropping the blade. The razor did not come with a strop?

I'm sorry....I could not resist that one.

It was showing Monday but it moved pretty quick through Birmingham.

  5. Good morning everybody!
Using the blade holder that started it all.
    Tom's @twhite DEvette.
    A collaboration with Joseph @Primotenore.
A gentle 3 pass head and face shave.
I'm very smooth with no irritation. Only one small bump on the top left of the gord needed some attention.
It was small, but there it is, or was.
Now it's aggravating, I'm pluaged with these things, always have been.
But a good sharp blade keeps them more or less at bay, hence Feather blades.
Under the stach and chin beard is the worst.
It's hard to keep them away and eliminate them when they appear there.

The new Feather blade was right on target this morning.
Almost done with this tub of Bay Rum, maybe a couple more shaves left in it.
With this shave, I'll be smooth and clean for hours.
    Nice!
    All
    Enjoy

Great shave this morning in Alabama!

I loaded the Razorock 400 heavy and whipped it up into some very thick lather. I am spending more time whipping up the lather and it seems to be producing better lather. Image that? This lather was so thick I almost made a run to the kitchen for a spatula. :D

The Yaqi SE head on the shortened Maggard's MR7 handle is a joy to drive and provides a great shave with the Astra. I am really liking this combination. Three passes and I am smooth.

Finished with some Black Tie Gentleman which is a dupe of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. Smells amazing!

    Y'all have a great Friday!
  15. It takes more time to print, fill out and count ballots as you go. :happy097: This whole mess is like a third world banana republic.

  18. Thanks Clint!
It is cool, it does everything right.
Fully adjustable, light for the gord, cleans easily after each stroke and well balanced.
I'm surprised a company hasn't started producing something like it already.
For those who want a close shave that is.

Barrister and Mann~~Rubberset 400/3~~Detroit National Cut. Co.~~Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns
No-variation November continues with my B&M and my Detroit "National" straight razor rule.
My focus part of this month involves using my Bay Rum aftershaves/colognes.
    My brushes are ad hoc.
While the ring at the bottom of the B&M soap slowly grows, there will probably be enough soap to finish out the month.
Of course, I could only use my Rubberset and dubl duck brushes for added soap destroying.
That is exactly what the Rubberset did this morning---eat up soap. :eatdrink020:
The beautiful and bountiful lather was beneficial and befitting a great shave.

Besides beating the lather into submission, I seriously stropped the straight sufficiently
for a brilliant and briery edge.
I won't berate or browbeat my readers any longer with boring and banal "b" words.
Today's aftershave is another Ogallala product: Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns.
This is one of their best and most soothing juices.
I just want to put this out there, if I don't respond personally to all of the
kind comments, please know that I truly appreciate every one of them.
    :thanks:
  20. Thanks Jim, I will!
