Yikes! I knew that Joe. Tonight is not my finest hour, apparently.

 

Another chance for The Fat to try and keep it's pace in one my soap bowls of honor. I am a habitual soap bloomer so of course I bloomed the MWF, I gave it good working over with the Omega Pro and then I built the lather on my face. I am a bowl latherer but I am trying to give The Fat a good chance.

I choose this big 8/8 hollow grind Frioder because I know she has a fine edge and should be ok even if the lather is sub-par. The first path lather was a bit thicker than I like for a straight razor but no big issue. I ended up lathering it like a mug soap hitting the puck before each pass and that seemed to do the trick. I a lot of work to get good lather and the shave was excellent.

 

To start...I'll forgive you for the fact that you "bloom" soaps . The boar will tear through the MWF or any puck soap and make it submit into a good lather for any type of shaving with the right ratio of H20. When I first started using a straight, I lathered heavy and thick and that was detrimental to a nice tug free shave. As stubborn as I am I went back to the 'goo' and have gotten some flawless straight and shavette shaves . When I use regular soap I cut it with more water for a thinner texture to alleviate tugging.
On another note I think lathering the new Williams really helped me with my skills in obtaining a good lather from the MWF.

Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: Chinese Unbranded Silvertip Fibre.
Face Lather.
Soap : Clubman Pinaud.
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel. (1)
Razor: Baili ~ BD177 Rose Gold TTO.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./P&G ~ Old Spice Bearglove A/S Spray. / Aloe Vera Gel.

Another early morning start for me.....A new shave set up to start the weekend...I will be using shaving assortments that have been kindly gifted & passed on to me for my shaves this week.
It's been a while since i lasted used the Russian made Rapira Swedish Supersteel which i find smooth efficient enough paired together excellently with the Chinese super-speed clone.
A comfortable 3 pass + pick ups DFS/Near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.
