Yes, if I have them, Paul. Lately it has been canned unsweetened peaches. I actually make something that looks and tastes more like a chunky peach milkshake that I make with unsweetened almond milk. With all my ingredients, I can actually make a fairly large shake and stay within my calorie budget. I buy a small container of vanilla ice cream every couple of weeks. When it's gone, it's gone. That helps keep me from overdoing it. I would literally eat ice cream every day if I kept it around all the time. I honestly have no doubt that I could sit and eat a gallon of ice cream at one sitting. I love it that much.

My local liquor store must have a Bourbon fan in the ordering department, Jeff. That Woodford, along with Buffalo Trace, Basil Hayden’s, Four Roses, etc are all now available in my town of 20,000 in the Canadian Rockies. It used to just be Makers Mark and Knob Creek, etc.

At most, I'll drink a shot neat maybe once or twice a week. Sometimes not even that. My family has a history of alcohol abuse, so I'm careful. Being a chemical engineer, living in Kentucky, and getting to visit a few distilleries, I'm sort of a bourbon geek. I actually went to school with a friend whose family owns a small distillery, and she is their master distiller. A buddy and I get together every so often for a road trip to a different distillery. We can wear out a tour guide out with our questions, but quite honestly, they love the interest and enthusiasm. I hope we can resume this at some point. We have visited the distillery where Bulleit is made too.

I've got a few technique notes that I've shared with some of my buddies who have received DE shaving gift sets. I'll try to clean this up and start posting it later this week. It will definitely be a work-in-progress, and I would appreciate your feedback.

thank you Jason.the 48 and early 49 aristocrat jr/canadian rocket have the same flat 430030 base plate.the 48 blade locater center bar is unnotched and the 49 is notched for the speedy blade load/dispenser use.the blade center bar is fully enclosed by the doors on the 48 and visible through the doors on a 49..48 has no end caps .in a nutshell, the 1948 has the 2nd gen aristocrat head and the 1949 has the 3rd gen..the "late" 1949 canadian rocket pictured on Mr.Razor's site has the diamond stamped baseplate..England sent over aristocrat jrs to canada due to production delays..

I wore my Speedy yesterday. Omega nailed it with the elegant mix of simplicity and complexity with this model. The Speedmaster dial is one of my absolute favorites in all watchdom©.



The cal. 1861 Lemania movement is a workhorse. Super cool, but not real pretty or highly finished. Sort of like a Chevy 427.


The Speedy Moonwatch lacks a lot of the fancy bells and toots that Omega loads on to their other watches. For that reason, it is by far my favorite model in their lineup.

I decided to shave earlier than my usual late afternoon Sunday prep for church service.
I haven't used the BoS setup that much since I got it a over year ago and so I needed to bring it out. It's a wonderful cologne scent so I really should use it more often. The Stirling brush is another item that I don't use too often because it sheds every now and then. I lost two bristles as I was loading the brush. However, it did aid in making a nice lather. I bloomed the soap to set it up as a preshave and to get more of the frag. Typical Stirling lather was the result. I only needed 1.5 passes to get a BBS shave without mishaps. I only needed 1.5 passes because I had a 26 hr growth and the blade only had one shave prior to this one so it was still wicked sharp. Splashed the awesome juice to finish. I didn't use the Nivea aftershave balm this time. Have an awesome Sunday guys!

I decided to stay with the Yaqi Katana for today's shave. The big Zenith boar whipped up the TOBS cream with ease. I did add a dropper full of B&M Terrorade so the lather had a wonderful long lasting chill. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Small Batch Shave Tonic and I am ready for the day. Maya has gone to visit my Mom and left her dog Cody with me to dog sit. Let's just say he's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. I had hopes of getting some work done this afternoon.
