O.K.......for some reason I have the monster on the left coming in. It has been calling me for several days now. Did I need it? No..... but it is awesome. A king size 400 with a 34mm knot. Thats right 34mm of great synthetic plissoft noir....the Razorock F-400. I figure if it is too big for my face I can always wash the truck with it. It already has a nick name......BIG RED. Take care guys!
Thanks Clint.....it may help with soap reduction which will result in more soap purchases. This is a hamster wheel I cannot escape.
Monday back to work safety razor shave: Loaded a Persona 74 (5) into my Janus Toggle, grated my handle by Jason with an Elite Razor silver tip and went to work on a soap I found in soap stash, Crowne and Crane. I bought the soap some time ago and remember their tallow version was excellent and the non-tallow as good. This one is non-tallow and it performed as I remember, the scent is very nice too bad it is not their tallow version. The shave was excellent, just a hair below epic.
fine Janus shave and pic Keith.glad to see the razor here..you are one of the few who has one and posts it..
I have been checking the store when ever I pass bye and this time they had the version most true to original but the price seemed high. So during lunch I checked the internet and saw the US price was about $700 lower. I was going to give up but the I got a telepathic from Charlie telling to go back and negotiate. I went back and showed them the US price and the agreed to match the price. I do love the history of this watch and I have been wanting a hand wind watch too.
I was surprised to read some of the negative views on the razor. I have no issues with it, she performs better than the original Toggle.
I have lost at least 20 or more hairs since I got it last year. I can't complain because I only paid 14 dollars for it, but it isn't an Omega Pro 49 value. I am a Stirling fanboy, but I would never buy a brush from them again. They should have just stuck to soapmaking. Now, they are in the coffee business. I wish them well in that venture, but I just don't like to see a small outfit spread itself out too thin.
