After playing around with the Gamechanger Jaws 0.84 and with a short discussion Joseph @Primotenore and I had I decided to do a little comparison between the Jaws head and an Above the Tie head with R2 plate. The Jaws head weighs 1.13 ounces, the ATT weighs in at 1.41 ounces. The Jaws razor head with handle is $55.00 and the ATT head with handle is $139.00. Big difference. The Jaws head is Canadian made, the ATT is made in the USA. The main thing that grabs my attention is the amount of blade clamp on the Jaws. Notice how far out the blade is secured in the Jaws. Jaws ATT Jaws ATT I just thought y'all would find this interesting. Maybe it is a Gamechanger after all.
I have NYS permanent certification in Chemistry 7-12 and the addition of Gen Science 7-12. Frankly, I am not really strong in the Gen Sci Curricula.
Excellent comparison, Danny. The extra-tight hold with the Game Changer, translates to a very "secure" feel when shaving. Zero blade chatter.
Thats what I was thinking but I was wanting someone with more experience in to chime in. I have just never paid much attention to how razor heads are designed. Thanks Joseph!
Thanks Danny. This is a very informative comparison. For the money, it would be hard to beat the Gamechanger. It looks like a good one, and I like the extra blade exposure.
I'm glad you're back in the classroom, Joe. In addition to being a great teacher, you're a strong male mentor. The youth desperately need that.
Thanks Charlie! It was my first day back in the middle school and some of the staff and some of the students were happy to see me. It's a lot easier when I don't have the pressure of grading, bickering parents, etc, I follow the teacher's plans and I always have a smile and sometimes a song for them. I do this in the high school as well Years ago, I had a motto that I shared with my students and it still applies to this day. Like my blood type, be positive.
On this site, my first avatar was comedian Phil Silvers, and my 2nd, 3rd and 4th was the character Walter White. I had a goatee and the kids thought that I resembled him.
