Patrick, I just pictured you as a little boy going through the silverware drawer, tying cats tails together, tearing down the lawnmower engine just to see what makes it ticks, using the snow blower as wood chipper, etc, etc, etc. Have I nailed it? Take care and be proud....your dad raised a good son.
Thursday's Shave Gillette Tech Gillette Platinum (2) Omega 10066 Boar B&M Seville Shaving Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel B&M Reserve Classic Aftershave It's been a while since I've used this prewar Gillette Tech and after pass #1, I realized I wasn't using the best angle of attack - more stubble than usual left behind. No worries, a slower and more focused pass #2 took care of the remaining scruff and I finished with a comfortable DFS this morning. The mildness and narrow sweet spot of the Tech has often led me in the past to overshave and end up with some irritation. Fortunately, I knew when to stop today.
awesome tech shave and pic Andrew.think of the tech as a razor that takes one layer at a time..used daily it's fine,
Chunks of whale blasting 1/4 away from the explosion and smashing cars! Whoa!! I've never seen this clip before, thanks for sharing, Danny!
Wow! Danny may you have many fine shaves courtesy of it’s lathering capability. You can probably load the soap on your face in less than 10 seconds.
Nov 12 SOTE Good evening guys! Shavette Shave #215 Dovo Shavette Personna Hairshaper Blade (3) Mr.EE Tuxedo Synthetic Brush Stirling Bay Rum SS and AS Whiskers: 32 hrs. I decided to shave this evening so that if I am called to work tomorrow, then that's one less thing to worry about. Also, I wanted to use Bay Rum and don't have to worry about offending anyone. I have to say that Evan's brush is a great performer. I made a nice, shiny, slick, voluminous lather. I only needed to do 2 passes and a minor touchup on my lower neck near my non-protruding Adam's apple. The shave quality was BBS without any mishaps. Applied the matching aftershave and no burn was felt whatsoever. Have a good night guys!
The Brittish Aristocrat is heavier and sturdier. I think the brit is a little better, but my Brit has the original silver platting and is in excellent condition. So, it's a special occation only razor. I'll use the US one more just because I can use with without worry. If it has plating issues, I'll just replate it again.
very cool.i don't have a u.s OC aristocrat,my sheraton and senator are the closest to them shave wise albeit the thicker handle.the silver plating on your brit oc is quite robust.the few i have seen that have worn plating are quite abused in other ways as well.the brit silver plate isn't the same as the old type silver plating that turns black..
