man that sucks. and yep there's no actual topic in this thread. because of this discussions can become quite surreal and stream-of-consciousness real quick. Some days we'd make Faulkner proud.
oh, and I've got a Lady Gaga song stuck in my head. Have I ever mentioned how little I like her music? She sounds like an impersonator who confused Madonna and Cher. I don't like Madonna or Cher, either, but at least they had talent.

I know what you are saying about Gaga! Since I work in the audio field I sometimes find myself playing DJ at weddings and such. I try really hard not to play any Gaga songs simply because they get stuck in my head for days. Now that I am thinking about it I know that I have one settling down into my head right now... And thanks to letting me vent. This has been going on for almost 2 years now and it just keeps getting worse. He is the kind of boss that is not happy unless he is telling you what to do no matter what it is. He also likes to eat up my time. His theory for cutting my wages is that I will need to work more hours to make the money I need. So he thinks he can have me for 14 hours a day for what he used to pay me for 8. I have done it from time to time because I am stuck and do need the money. I am starting to get very depressed over this and it is effecting my mental capacity and my over all quality of life. The only good part of my day is my shave time, really. Thanks again.
Frustrated... Very Frustrated. Ordered a computer from Dell and they would not take my original customer number which included the tax exempt status. Upon calling back to the tax department, the rep told me well we can cancel your order if you don't like it. After asking for a supervisor, he kept me on hold for 15 minutes, then hung up on me. I am now calling back for a 1500th time and they offered me a free digital camera. Honestly the level of aggravation just wasn't worth it.
thankfully, I have never heard, to my knowledge, any of her music. to my knowledge, of course...since I'd never heard of her until a few weeks ago...and based what i've read, that was a blissful ignorance Zune FTW!!! zero commercials, zero rap, zero anything I don't want to listen to!

Unfortunately it sounds like he knows you are in a bad situation and is taking advantage of it, sounds like a subpar human being to me. Poor kid bawled her eyes out and went to bed without even having supper. She's okay today so I guess life goes on. Thankfully nothing more happened.........yet! well, after jockeying back and forth on whether to press on and get the Jeep, I ultimately decided no. tough decision, but it was the right one. and now today, a buddy of mine sends me a text says he found me a good engine for my '85 Silverado....OH HECKES YEAH!!!
Kewl Beans... BTW: saw the proposed name for Ubuntu 11.04. "Natty Narwhal". I may just have to install Ubuntu on here then on a triple boot (using Linux Mint currently). But I don't know if I can handle getting the Narwhal head stuck in my mind until Ubuntu 12. Glad that worked out!

you know, there was a Mythbusters episode where the coated a car in clay or something and put dimples all over it like a golf ball to see if it helped fuel mileage, or something like that....I have the youtube video bookmarked, but haven't watched it yet...sounds like something I need to watch when I get home, if I feel like getting online by then....bleh
Micah - sorry to hear about your bad day - I hope things got better for you and I hope your day tomorrow is better than today. I just want to say thanks to all you guys that replied to my post. You helped me to take the day in a better light. Even though the day got worse as I went on. I am really amazed sometimes at the crap that gets pushed out at me. You all have the right idea - he is a subpar human being and I am stuck in the situation. Only problem is when I tell him how I feel and try to make him understand that he only makes me want to get away from him it always ends up and very heated argument and he thinks it is funny, he actually starts laughing. I am not sure how much more of this I can take. :mad:
