Monday 11.16.20 SOTD Chiseled Face Natural Pre-Shave Gel ATT Calypso S1 Slant / Astra Superior Platinum WCS Two-Tone Tall 26mm Synthetic BOSS Knot Chiseled Face Sherlock Shaving Soap Chiseled Face Sherlock Aftershave Splash On its first outing, the ATT aluminum slant felt a bit more aggressive than my Fine aluminum slant. I also detected some drag compared to the Fine slant, which is polished. Fortunately the West Coast brush and Chiseled Face Sherlock soap produced a good slick lather, so the end result was a two-pass BBS (WTG and ATG). But I still need a few more shaves with the ATT to really get it dialed in.

2020-11-16, Monday Last night it rained and now the day is as gray as I like. Many years ago, today was already a month and a half I was going to school. I always hated it enthusiastically: huddled together with little screaming beings, all wearing black aprons and a stiff white collar, locked down for hours listening to things that could have been interesting if they hadn't been exposed in such a boring way. And I still remember when, after a while, I realized that I had been sentenced to forced labor; I was 6 years old and I would have had to go to school until at least 18: 300% of my life until then. As if a 30-year-old man was forced to do something until the age of 90: it would bewilder anyone. So I went to see to my mother in the kitchen to ask her the question that puzzled me. She was always happy when she thought I was looking for solutions... Obviously I do not remember the words of a 6 year-old child, but I remember perfectly the consecutio of my thought: -Mom -I told her- I will have to go to school until I'll be 18 - -Yes dear, of course- -And this is to let me have a better job...- -Yes dear...- -So that I can earn more money to eat, sleep (I meant a house), rest (I meant vacations) to be able to go back to work to eat, sleep and rest to go back to work...- -My mother was very happy for my brilliant examination of my condition. -It all seems very stupid to me - I ended, turning around and going back to my room, but not before having seen bewilderment in her eyes and her jaw go down by what I estimate today was about a quarter of an inch. After 68 years I think exactly the same way... So I continue in this useless loop, with the awareness of its uselessness, but the contentment of having immersed myself in excellent scents.
