Hey, there it is, Blair..the Zingari! The sample you sent is set to go..you'll be interested in my procedure for "scraping" it from the tiny container. All it took was just a couple scrapes and the whole thing fell into my cup. I certainly didn't expect THAT to happen-that is, for it to just plop right in, , but I'll take it. How are you today?
Great looking set up. That brush is awesome! As to the dentist I have said for years most women need a mute button.
Like yourself, I've been neglecting my Stoylin(soaps&aftershaves that is.....my brushes have been busy). I'm moving some up close to be ready for use soon, though.
Fabulous photo and shave recap Danny. I feel exactly the same way about work. It’s very nice to have a job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NOvember 16th Schick ‘66’ APShaveCo SynBad/ Poculi Barristers Reserve Cool combo Thayers Next up in the No Repeat rotation is this fine G4. An excellent lather with the Reserve- what a change it has undergone as it has aged, but as long as you bloom it a bit and overload it off the puck you are rewarded with an excellent lather. Only a few brushes left before I’ll start from the top again. Love this one. Anyway, 3 easy passes to start the week. Perhaps a little left on the lower right neck, but more than acceptable. Have a great day all!
SOTD MONDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 16, 2020 There's something about Sheffield Cast Steel’s edge holding ability that is just addictive along with, of course, the thrill of shaving with a 190-200 year old razor. One feels almost like a caretaker. This very early French Point Boker was built with imported Sheffield cast steel 70-80 years before Germany’s Import Act of 1891, and restored for me by Glen Mercurio. The three pass (WTG, ATG, XTG) mug shave left me velveteen smooth. My noggin shave, unfortunately, was not in the same category, but still satisfying. My best shaving injectors are my E Type and my Supply V2, but this repaired F Type delivered a smooth shave albeit leaving some very slight residual roughness in the valleys at the back of my dome. However, the able ministrations of my old Boker cleaned things up admirably in those two problem areas leaving me refreshed, clean, and smoothly velveteen! RAZOR: Boker & Co. Sheffield Cast Steel French Point 5/8 (Mug), Schick F Type (Dome) BLADE: Schick Injector 2 PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil BRUSH: MrEE Aluminum Handled Monster Tuxedo Synth SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash.
Excellent shave Blair! Friodurs are fantastic razors. I have to take mine out for a shave before the end of this month.
