ok very cool.the "s" is an import marking as far as i know.mine are stamped k-1 and k-4.1965 and are common here, for canadian market from england.i suspect yours is of the 1963 -5 variety.black handle came out in 1966..
Yeah most are on the older vehicles. People just cut the belt and run without the AC. You can probably still find one for it though. My friend used to travel from here to NC for parts and wherever he got them from apparently had cars of every type .
