  1. Outstanding plating job on a beautiful razor, Evan! Great looking shave all around. :happy088:
And honesty is always the best way.

  2. Thank you, Danny. Like most all of the recent RazoRock Stainless Steel razors, the V3 Hawk is a very well-built and solid shaver, especially considering the price point. I think I will be retiring my V2 aluminum version in lieu of keeping this one.

  4. I got this too, Danny. This morning I found two pucks of L'Orange Noir at a Canadian vendor. I'll miss this base, but there are lots of good bases. The L'Orange Noir scent in this base is something I always want to have around.

  8. Thanks for the reply. With the quality of my Jaws razor the V3 Hawk has peaked my interest.

  9. It is a great scent.....to me it is a pleasant soothing scent.

  10. After first ditching (under duress) the Gentleman balm, I used to pair the Gentleman soap with either Jeeves Tobacco Bay or Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender. Both were good matches, imho. Alas, even though both are strong scents, swmbo still was able to pick up on the Gentleman underneath...bye, bye Gentleman. If I had matched it with the Aftershave, it might have been bye, bye Jason...:rolleyes005:

  11. Such a great song...and true!
I saw them in concert once and it was a phenomenal show (except for the Dixie Chicks opening act :happy097:).

  15. Sorry, Gentlemen, but I haven't done a very good job of keeping up lately.
Very nice, Barry. The LaToja is certainly a well respected product. Seeing you mention Cusson's Imperial soap brought back memories- it was my daily driver for probably the better part of a decade when I was a younger adult.
Boy, you don't buy any boring brushes, do you Joe? Must be why I never got that PM...:happy097:
Look at that colour matching, Jim! That's why you are the master. What do you think of that dupe?
Great job with the Slim, Joe. I trust the school day went well.
In our little hobby, picking 5 faves is usually bombproof. Great stuff, Gary. Love every type of NEW I pick up.
Very nice, Perry. Great minds today on the SC as well.
That picture shows the very unique milling on the baseplate and topcap, Clint. Sounds like the 'Merica is a winner, both for original design and performance.
I love seeing some of your frankenrazor creations with your nice handles, Danny. At first I thought that was a Karve Stainless handle. Looks very similar.
Congrats on the new razor, soap completion and razor prep, Joseph. Awesome job.
Very nice, Jeff. Like you, I don't seem to reach for a GEM very often, but do get good results when I do.
A pleasant surprise for sure, Evan! Having two of those excellent looking razors is very much a bonus. Congrats.
Love that photo! Yes, you are a pro no doubt. Sorry about the nick...damn the torpedoes is right!
  16. Tuesday's Shave

    GEM Pushbutton
    GEM S/S PTFE
    Wild West Brushworks 'Odin'
    Haslinger Schafmilch Shaving Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Alt-Innsbruck Aftershave

Everything worked wonderfully today. The Haslinger lather felt like a spa treatment and everything else just fell in line.
2 easy passes with touch-ups provided a comfortable and efficient shave this morning. I've been catching whiffs of the Alt-Innsbruck all day and I am just fine with that!

  19. You're making me blush .

I wasn't aware Tertius was a dupe. I have a few leather scented soaps and aftershaves, Tertius is my favorite. It's been over twelve hours since I shaved and I'm still catching whiffs under my mask. Love it!
