Excellent shave, Clint! Is there a difference in the synthetic knots from the Duke or Chubby handles and the Trafalgar line?
A great looking lather for sure, Joseph. Glad to hear the new base is a winner. Do you blame the weak scent on the recent unavailability of pimenta racemosa ?
Good question Andrew. You really cannot swirl Big Red in a Soap Commander tub. I just load the brush by rotating the brush on the soap. This seems to work nicely.
Thank you Andrew. Simpson has two different synthetic fibers. The first is label as Synthetic Bristle. It is used on the CH2 and Duke 3 synthetic line. The second type of fiber is called Sovereign Grade synthetic fibre. This is used in the Trafalgar Line of brushes. In fact they posted a CH3 with Sovereign Grade synthetic fibre on Twitter several weeks back. The biggest difference I have noticed is in appearance. I have both and both are exceptional brushes. The Trafalgar T3 is a fabulous brush and even better at its price point.
Nov 18 SOTD Good afternoon guys! Shavette Shave #218 Parker SRB Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (2) Rockwell Synthetic Brush Stirling Glastonbury SS and AS Whiskers: 29.5 hours Everything went swimmimgly! Great brush produced a great lather. 2.5 passes plus minor pickups gave me a near BBS shave without any problems or issues. Slapped on a double portion of the aftershave smelling and feeling great. There wasn't any feedback from the aftershave which is always a good thing. Have a great afternoon guys!
