We had an accumulation of about 6" but it was all gone by the next day when the temperature jumped by 40°. Current temp here is 60°. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
Well, I disassembled the heat/ac ducting and removed the blower motor from my car to clean out the dead mice and their nest...not fun! Then I detailed my wife's SUV. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
Dug out my old Mini Maglites today, cleaned them up and outfitted them with new Xenon bulbs and Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Dang, they've never been nearly so bright as they are now. The power hasn't gone out here in years. But if it does, I'm ready.
Foot raced a 13 year old just to do it. He got 2 paces ahead but I kept right behind him until the finish (about a 100 foot sprint). May start jogging again.
Went and cleaned out a barn root last Saturday, had my uncle lift me up there with the tractor bucket.
I was given a lawnmower today. A Husqvarna 775. It was used for one year, and has been inoperable for the past couple of years, and was filthy. It was being thrown out. So, I brought it home, changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb, and jet, because it was very gummed up. There was still gas in the tank. I drained the gas, and put new gas in. It started on the second pull. So, after an oil change, and a good scrubbing, it now looks almost brand new.
If I could get away with dressing like that, I would. I have no shame. The wife and daughter would disown me.
The main thing my wife took from this lawnmower thing was, "Now that you fixed that one, what do you need with three lawnmowers??" Me:" Hey, it was free, it looks and runs new." Women just don't get it. I also have several high end chainsaws too, that I have fixed, and they have all been used by me extensively. I just love this new generation of men, who buy power equipment, and don't know how to maintain them. So, after a while, the equipment breaks down, they give up trying to repair it, or pay others to repair it, and toss them away. More toys for me.
Re-capped my Kenwood integrated amp and then cleaned the pots because they were all getting a bit scratchy....pots as in potentiometers--not the ones we cook in LOL! I love the sound from that amp and would never dream of parting with it. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
I attempted my first run in over 5 years. More walking than running, but did 1.25 miles without puking or pooping myself. I can ride for hours, but cannot run to save my life. Decided that I need one more goal to close out the year.... run a mile without stopping. Not there yet, but will have a 5k before the first day of summer.
