Good afternoon guys!

Today is the 57th Anniversary of Pres. Kennedy's death. I remember that day. I was in 3rd Grade and the Catholic nuns were crying. I will never forget that day.

Ok, on with the shave report.

Gentlemen's Nod Zaharoff Signature Soap and Aftershave

Ok, this is the second time that I have used this soap and aftershave. I was kind of disappointed the first time I used it because the scent was barely noticeable on the soap and the aftershave. Also, the lather was not that great for my standards. Today, things improved on some fronts.
The scent was somewhat stronger off the puck, but I really had to stick my nose in it to pick up the scent. It is a nice scent, but I wish it was stronger off the puck. I would rate it a 2 out of 10 for scent strength.
I was finally able to get a thick, cushiony slick lather by wetting the brush, load the soap, facelather, wet the bristles a few more times to face lather and then go back to the puck to reload, wet and facelather again. It took more work, but the lather was gorgeous and had enough soap for 5 passes. The soap has decent residual slickness so that I could buff without any problems.
Did 2.5 passes with some touchups for an error-free BBS shave.
Double-splashed on the matching aftershave to finish. Again, I can't smell the aftershave on my face, but when I smell my hand is where I pick it up. The scent is not an exact match to the soap. I would say it is a little darker, but compliments the soap frag nicely. I like medium to strong scented soaps and aftershaves. Unfortunately, this soap and aftershave doesn't bring it home to me. However, I will say that if you get the right soap/water ratio, then you will have a very good lather. The only problem is that you have to work the soap to make a good lather. Bottom line: Would I buy this premium soap? No, I wouldn't unless the soap scent really gets stronger with each use. Have a great day guys!
