Beautiful brush and combo, Jeff. I'm not usually one who cares about cases, but that ShakeSharp one looks especially cool.
Super shave, Joseph! I read your post about the new brush on the November Haul thread. That's really a one of a kind brush for sure. Congrats!
Congrats on the new brush, Joseph. I read your post on The Haul about it. Quite a story behind such a unique brush. Sounds like a winner for usage as well. I need to grab my Floating Head out this next month as well. That will turn it into Decadent December in a daily, deliberate and decipherable way.
Dscosmetics list as CNC stainless steel. I did order from Aliexpress. | Dscosmetic Z0 316L stainless steel double edge safety razor https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLlJAdJ
That's such a beautiful brush, Jason! Wonderful craftsmanship. I don't see Sputnik blades too often on the forum. Comparable to Voskhod? Great shave all around!
Maol Grooming is a Canadian aftershave company. One of the very few Canadian companies making alcohol-based splashes exclusively without really venturing into anything else. I have 2 of their usual 4-5 scents. Available from a few US Vendors as well, I believe. Quality products with an emphasis on good ingredients and exceptional post shave feel. Some have called it the Canadian Chatillon Lux, but I'd say that is a stretch. For face feel maybe, but the scents are very, very different from what CL is doing.
Thanks, Danny! Thank you, Joe! Thanks, Gary! Thanks, Jason! Yeah, another workday. We haven't been officially told that we'll have the holiday weekend off, but rumor is once the day is done so are we until Monday. Fingers crossed . Little to no blade feel with the Mamba. Smooth and easy to use. Mine is the .70. I think there's an even milder one out there. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Very nice, Joe. What do you think of the badger/boar mix? I believe I have the same knot (or very similar). It took me a long time to get it broken in, but 'tis a keeper now.
Thanks Jason...seeing the Red Tips this last week got me in the mood for a Red Tip shave as well. The soap is put out by Imperial Barber Products. It is a scentless glycerine product. I really like it but some folks don't like a glycerine soap.
Thank you, Andrew. One of the first brushes I ever made, fwiw. I haven't revisited this shape very often since, truth be told. The Sputnik reminds me of other Russian Gillette coated blades. I wouldn't pay more for them than PermaSharps or GSBs or Nacets or other similar quality blades, but the prices do seem to be higher when you see them. Probably not a purchase for me, but then again I have about 600 Russian Gillettes hanging around the Den anyway...
Excellent Cella shave, Joe! I've only used the soap once since receiving it last week, but I can tell it will be a favored selection in my den.
Thanks for the info, Danny. 'Talk with Imperial Barb'? Hope that isn't a modern version of Toyko Rose...
Sounds and looks great, Gary. Pardon my ignorance if you've already addressed this, but is there a difference between that UK version and the regular Flare Tip?
