  5. SATURDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Olivier Polge
    [IMG]

    Razor - Edwin Jagger "Kelvin"
Blade - Derby Premium *4th Shave
Shave Brush - Beauty7 Professional Premium Synthetic Nylon
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Soap - Nile Naturals Products "Dolce & Gabbana The One"
Soap Bowl - Dr. Dittmar black acrylic glass dish
    Lather Bowl by Royal Shave
    Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave
Aftershave - Dolce & Gabbana - "The One" Aftershave Splash
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Mysterium Serum"
Deodorant - Dolce & Gabbana - "The One"
Fragrance - Dolce & Gabbana - "The One" EDT

***EDIT - Excellent shave. 2 passes + clean up. BBS. Got a nick/abrasion on my cheek-bone section because I came for it last and the soap had dried up enough that it offered no slickness at that point when the blade "stuttered" on my skin (but the soap is plenty slick and stable, I just took my time with my passes today with my coffee). Aside from that it was great. The splash stung and shocked my soul to let me know I'm still among the living. The scent is fantastic. No real irritation after applying the balm. I dabbed the styptic pencil on that abrasion and it immediately sealed. I have all the tools needed for post-shave treatment. I have more shave tools than Batman has tricks on his utility belt.

It took until the 4th shave for the Derby Premium blade to feel like it's hitting it's best shaves with this razor. All the previous shaves were just 'ok'. This shave was very good.

  6. Love that green brush handle! Great picture jim.

Blade: Euromax Platinum half blade. (1)

    Razor: Yaqi Katana.

    Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./Pashana ASL./Baylis & Harding ~ Sandalwood & Amber ASB./Oud 24 Hours EDP.

    Greetings,

Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

Carrying on with the Katana SE razor/Euromax Platinum half blade duo for another week after the comfortable shaves that i had last week.

I haven't used the Rainbow Brown synthetic (Faux Horse) for a while it works wonderfully with either soap or cream 'as do all my yaqi synthetics', whipping up a lather in no time... I now have three yaqi synthetic brushes and each one has it's own character, the Rainbow Brown synthetic (Faux Horse) was a christmas present from my siblings last year bought purely because they liked the rainbow handle.

On first appearance i thought it was too big? and was going to be a lather monster? both of which was the complete opposite to my doubting thoughts. The brush holds the lather wonderfully and has a lovely 'face feel' very like my natural horsehair brushes and isn't awkward or feels too big to use for me after a few shaves it quickly became a firm favourite in my brush rotation...It doesn't just look good, overall it's a fantastic brush...A superb addition to my humble synthetic shaving brush collection.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a few generous squirts of Oud 24 Hours EDP to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling like a real ladies man.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.
  13. Christmas Season keeps going. I went with Cella. For me it is a Christmas scent, but for others it might not.

Prep: Hot Shower and Bloom/Lather Building Water
    Soap: Cella
Razor: Blackland Blackbird Brass (OC and SB)/Merkur Mustache and Eyebrow Razor
Blade: Nacet (1)/Merkur Mustache and Eyebrow Blade (1)
    Brush: Zenith Boar
    AS: Cella
    ASB: Captain's Choice 45th Parallel
    EdC: Polo Supreme Oud

The lather was creamy and slick, as it should be. Just wonderful.

We all know what Cella smells like. It smells like my mother's baking at this time of year. I hope everyone's Holiday Season is going great.

  19. 2020-11-28, Saturday

A pleasant morning with a veil of fog and 4 °C, irrelevant traffic and a fantastic silence.
The climate pushed me to use a soap made in a country that certainly does not have a warm and bright climate: the scent of lavender is soft and even that of rosemary is just a hint and everything is very elegant.

When I use this soap it is almost compulsory a small brush: the growth was minimal and the blade was pleasantly chirping on my face.

A repetitive gear but ... repetita juvant!
