PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE Knurled Aluminum Hybrid Knot
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brushsqueezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Osage Rub and Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme Balm.

7/8 Herder 49, cream was the sadly discontinued Simpsons Vanilla Rose lathered with a Keyhole 4 and a splash of Harris Pink finished things off. These razors were on eBay for a long time for between about $65 and $100, but now seem to have gone. Good razors, but mine needed a good amount of bevel work to get them shaving like the excellent razors that they are.

I hear ya. I bought a pair of white bone square nose and was looking for the black square nose for some time, so I ended up with three and can’t say that I’m a bit sorry at the price I paid for them.

 

This wonderful Leader sang loudly - at least compared to the heavier grinds I’ve been shaving with - and was delightful The Monsavon is getting low and I’ll miss it. I picked it up for about a euro in a supermarket in France last Fall when I was there for a number of weeks. Pleasant scent, goes on just right, all around excellent soap and you can’t beat the price.

A bigger, heavier blade, even with the thin grind. Aesthetically it has some issues , but the edge was luckily spared... and oh so nice.

POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Aqua Velva (Spanish Version) and A&E Post-Shave Serum.

I been gone a while. Went hunting in Texas this spring and when I got home I went fishing and the next thing you know it was hunting season again. I have been shaving just about exclusively with Williams and MWF and a Kikuboshi razor.
