thank you Joe.the t&h is a little better than the tobs and has a fantastic lime scent, but to be honest most folks choose these brands for specific scent qualities.they (tobs,t &f,trumpers) are similar in performance with little post shave qualities.they do require post shave products..not like today's fat laden "beauty parlour in a can" offerings..lanolin soaps like MWF weren't the norm in the old days,just side affects of the ingredients used that were abundant at that time..

i wouldn't worry about lubing the razor too much.clean and dry works.give it a hot dawn liquid soak once a month.most everything else gums them up if they sit for long periods.a touch of WD 40 down the threads is good if they are shelf queens..the smell will dissipate quickly.it will protect the threads from corrosion especially on aluminum handled tto's and not effect the skin after its dry..wipe off any residual product after application and let sit for a bit to allow full penetration.then it's good for ages.. WD40 repels water and protects the inner workings.doesn't build up..

Fantastic shave Blair! I don't remember you using that J3 straight, but the scales are gorgeous! I guess Myles' home brewed aftershave was successful! Although you have some cold weather, thankfully, you are not near any major body of water so you get very liitle snow, if any. Have a great day!
