@myles wilson AS - Homemade Bay Rum 'Christmas Brew'
In for December. Should hopefully keep up a little better. December slows down 'a little' for me, only 2 more event weekends left for the year. Texas ladies and gentlemen don't slow down their track/motorsport obsession for much of anything (weather, holidays, etc.) like in other parts of the country. Tracks don't make it much easier....they'll rent their facility every weekend/day they can.
I'll be doing a little bit of a decadent December focus. Only using 4 straight razors, and 1 shavette (when traveling) for the entire month. Basically a 5 day 1 razor focus, and then a weekend shave on Saturday evening with a Feather AC DX. Brushes and software are no holds barred.
Up for today was a wintery Holiday feeling shave. 26 degrees out, very cold for Dallas Fort Worth area. Bowl lathered PAA's CK6 formula, incredible whipped cream yogurty bliss. Slick with an exceptional face feel. The EVO knot is a lather making monster, bowl overflowing goodness (or maybe I just loaded too much). 3 full passes with the J3Customs today, enjoying the feel of blade on skin, along with the Bay Rum aroma that fills the bathroom. WTG for the first pass, XTG (in to out) for the second pass, and opposite XTG (out to in) for the third pass. This edge lacks a little spark....so a DFS+ all over, just a smidge of sandpaper on the lower right jawline/neck. Zero issues with crimson appearing. Hefty application of PAA's Star Jelly for skin conditioning. After shave today courtesy of a trade with Myles. His home brew....don't know all the ingredients, but it's clearly alcohol, some bay rum....and 'sumthin' slightly minty.
Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!
