  2. Thanks, Joe! I thin out the lather for my mug shaves. Not so for the dome. Took the pic after my mug shave.

  4. Thank you James! In all honesty, I am blessed with great genetics. I don't look my age and my brain tells me that I am 45 years old. Although I am a senior citizen, I don't think of myself as one. I thank God for this wonderful gift of health.
  5. Thank you, Blair! I do have a PAL Adjustable. The Parker shaves more similar to the Schick injectors as far as angle than it does the PAL. The PAL razors have a strange angle. You almost look like you're shaving with a Mach 3 angle when you use a PAL where the handle is basically parallel to your face. The Schick angle is more intuitive. The PAL razor has a *narrow* sweet spot that I find troublesome. I don't get out the PAL Adjustable much because I don't get great results. I ended up selling my PAL Injectomatic because of the same reason.

Since you shave with such scythe-looking blades I would say that you would be quite underwhelmed with the mildness of the Parker Adjustable. You might enjoy a PAL Adjustable shave. Neither of those injectors is anything close to the heft and efficiency of the Supply injectors.

I'd be glad to send you my PAL Adjustable if you want to try it for a week or two. Just let me know.
  6. Do you know if they have a scent-free or relatively neutral offering? Your description of the scent doesn’t sound inviting! Enjoy your day!

  7. Congratulations, Joe! Talk about a makeover! I try to exercise! I cycle regularly and play pickle ball, but can no longer weight train! Missing too many structural body parts from my cancer bout! Nevertheless, I do what I can!
  8. Lol, it has a big handle with a 24mm knot, but thanks, im really enjoying it so far!

  10. no plans as of yet..i got it as a gift from my buddy so it was a surprise.it needs an edge as it doesn't cut arm hairs.while i love the looks of them as historical artwork and craftmanship but no real interest in shaving with them so far..:)
  11. I’m sure there’s a Canadian guy up your way who could put an edge on it for you! I’d be glad to do it for free if you can’t turn up someone local!

  12. no problem Jeff.this is the New Deluxe head that replaced the New Standard/Improved/Bostonian razor head.note the missing pins underneath that yours has.your razor was meant for old type 3 hole blades.they won't work in this razor.this handle is also 1 piece as the twist knob doesn't slide out of the tube like yours does.it stays in place.made for 1 year and british only.hope this helps..:)

  13. Thanks for the great details and offer Perry! Sincerely appreciated. I originally was interested in the PAL adjustable when participating in the 2019 TSD secret Santa. My draw had it as an option, and I was able to get one in very nice condition with case for very close to $ suggested for the gifts. I thought it was pretty nifty, but didn't want to shave with something I bought as a gift.

Weird shaving angles aren't a thing for me. Weight is more important. For me open edge or safety razor....kind of want the blade holders medium to heavy. Could I bother you to weigh the PAL adjustable with a blade in it? Thank you kind sir!

  14. thank you for the offer Jeff.most grateful.i have a fine stone and films so i'll attempt it myself.should't be too much of a deal..there are no twists or weird wear on the spline.it looks unmolested, just dull.:).if i can't figure it out myself i don't need to have it..;)

  20. My first shave with it was fantastic, i think i prefer the scruffiness of my boar more overall, but that lathering on the synthetic is superior and the soft tips are very luxurious for sure!
