  1. Straight razors (SR) aren't that hard. You'll do great.

  3. Thank you,Jason..My homemade witch hazel recipe's are nothing elaborate to look at my current winter mix consists of a 200ml bottle of (Care) witch hazel bought from the high street, peppermint (5 drops) Lavender, (5drops)+ eucalyptus,(5drops) Tea Tree (5 drops) essential oils. I sometimes add 5-10 drops of Boots glycerin for the winter mix to protect my skin from the winter elements. The summer recipes i add lemon, lime & orange essential oils with a few menthol crystals.

  4. Thanks Jason!
    Shower afterwards.
I just craw out of bed and stumble to the sink where I lather with whatever soap then shave.
The shaving soap is the only thing used.
Need a sharp blade or it gets really rough.
But feathers always come through for me.

A repeat performance this morning with the same set up as yesterday. My focus this month will be duplicate shaves of the same hardware and software. Will this focus feature 15 different combinations, probably not as I may elect to have several grace these pages with an encore performance later in the month. Most definitely the Dickens Revisited due to the seasonal nature of this software.
Another excellent three pass which I would venture to say is a little closer than yesterday, especially by my trouble spots, the jawline hinge. I know I am going to smell good throughout my day.
    Have a great day gentlemen.

A very nice, but hurried two pass shave as the warmth of my bed did not want to let go this morning.

The 1924 has become a favorite of mine over the last couple of years.

    Enjoy your day.

  19. Thanks. I do play on the lathe, although I have yet to turn a brush. I am hoping to get three bowls finished before Christmas, all of which where rough turned and just need a bit of finishing before putting on a few coats of shellac.

Here is a bowl my wife recently finished.
