I have read in numerous times on the forums as well. I would guess the big block would be even more likely to go bad.

I do prefer the CH2 knot the most because of the density and backbone. I admittedly abuse the knot by mashing it in while loading and lathering. I end up with soap flying everywhere while face lathering.

Chris, the bowl is beautiful. I just recently got a wood lathe and will give wood turning a try in the new year.

    Brush: JR #142 badger
    Razor: Parker Adjustable Injector
    Blade: Personna
    Lather: Stirling Ozark Mountain
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Ozark Mountain aftershave

The picture shows the Parker on setting 4, but I shaved with setting 5. Didn't mean to. I took tomorrow's photo in advance and moved it to 5 and then didn't reset to 4. Oh well. I can say that 5 worked the best so far (shocker!) and I expect 4 will be okay. I shave on the highest setting with the Schick Adjustable so I figured I would enjoy 5 the best in the long run. Anyway, today's shave was much easier and more efficient than yesterday on the low settings.

Cold morning here in Alabama, right @Hembree? Enjoy your day!

Fantastic setup and shave, Joe! I see the Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm on your list. Great stuff! I use that also in the colder weather even though it's not listed in my shave goods.

I understand about not wanting to get out of the warm bed. Pretty cold here for the deep South. Great shave, Dale!

Thanks! My car thermometer read 27 on the way in, but it's usually off by 2-3 degrees, so it was probably 25F like yours. Biggest freeze so far by a lot.

For some reason I did not want to turn loose of the bed this morning. :D

Great shave on a cold day in Alabama.

The Yaqi mountain lake two band badger did an excellent job whipping up the P160. The Leyming razor head with a fresh Astra on the Above the Tie Atlas handle did an amazing three pass shave. Nice blade feel and a smooth shave. I really like this head but the blade alignment is aggravating and I cannot recommend this head for that reason. If the tolerances were tightened up on the razor it would be a winner. Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion and this one is in the bag.

Stay warm guys....25 degrees in Alabama this morning.

I almost forgot. My son and I had to go put a roll of hay out for the horses last night. This is a list of problems we dealt with last night in 28 degree weather.

When we pulled up to open the gate water was running down the driveway. Broken pipe in the tack room. Cut valve off for tack room. Lights did not want to work on the tractor. Tried to cut the water off to the tractor shed. Cut off valve in the ground would not cut completely off. Cut water off at the water main. Forgot new heater for the horses water trough. Spare in the tack room was not working. It would want to shock you. One of the horses had broke her feed pan off of the wall. It was a fun night but we made it. :whacky011:
