  6. I’ve thought about stockpiling some used CH2 synthetic brushes for just that purpose

  7. Very few white oaks. I do have some pecan and black walnut that need to be trimmed.

  8. Thank you, Perry. I believe that SV releases a scent a year now. Some of the others have just been around awhile, I think. The last three list the year on the tub, fwiw.

  10. Thank you, Clint! You too. I hope you've had an easy day.
I still think of that Geico commercial everytime I hear Hump Day.

  11. Well, I'm not going to be rash and say that I'll do anywhere near as good of a job on the handle as the Simpson turners, but I can guarantee any sticker I put on it would be straighter...:happy088:
  12. Trim away on that Walnut! As little as 10 years ago, I could get black walnut for $4 CDN a board foot. Last week I got a 12" x 12" chunk 8/4 (2 inches thick). $44. That's only because they know me and were willing to cut a foot off the only 2" thick board they had. The full 8 foot board would have been over $300... A couple of months ago I couldn't even get ANY 8/4 Walnut to make Gary a bowl.
  13. :happy102:
  14. Thanks Clint! The same setup will be on tomorrow night as part of my Double-Duty December theme this month.

  17. Thanks Joe!

I have several Wholly Kaw soaps/aftershaves, both the Siero based soap (Fougère Mania), and then 3 of the previous tallow base (King of Oud, La Fougère Parfaite, Fougère Bouquet). All are very nice. Very similar qualities to many artisan brands that cross the 30DC list....A&E, Stirling, PAA, B&M, Zingari Man, etc. For my skin...his soaps followed by his after shaves (and nothing else) has a very respectable face feel, even hours later, on par with PAA or Zingari Man.
  18. Yup, the rest of the province has a good laugh when Vancouver (Victoria is even worse...) gets any snow. Armageddon. Get out the popcorn and watch the bumper cars on the evening news.

  19. ;) Perhaps looking at things a different way would help. Since mis struck coins are more valuable, your brush is more valuable because it is unique :D
