I was inspired by @Jayaruh , for this shave. I used a NOS Sextoblade, that was stropped, until it was super sharp. I did not use the Hair Shaper attachment. At first, this blade did well, through the first half, of the first pass. It quickly dulled. I did about 10 linen and 25 leather stropping, and finished the first pass, with the same results towards the end. I hit the leather about 35 times, and went for a second pass. Much smoother, but still it dulled towards the end. This experience left me with a tolerable feeling face. But, the experience was not enjoyable. Conclusion being that the vintage steel, used for this razor is very inadequate. It will get very sharp, and will be smooth, for a very short time. I hear the modern blades are much better. But, I dont have any, and do not think I will order any, in the near future. Too many Straight Razors to play with. I don't post often here, as I have what I consider average razors at best. However, tonight's shave was great; no blood and a good shave. I don't chase a BBS with straight razors. Chris - enjoying learning, whatever the subject

@lightcs1776 don't be shy to post. My razors aren't spotless, are average and also I'm not a great photographer. I doubt it that the other posters mind. I think the more the merrier. I'm looking forward to your next post. I also don't chase BBS with a straight and if the result is presentable it is fine with me. It is at least always better then when I shaved with a disposable razor.

Thank you and welcome. You have some beautiful Swedish blades. I love the different feel of the 24 with the heavy grind, and that looks like a wonderful example. Tom
No need to be shy, the more the merrier. All the straight razors are beautiful to me. Nothing wrong with some patina.

I completely agree... I have a major soft spot in my heart for those Swedish blades. You may want to take a look at this thread and add some pics. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/swedish-razors-thread.60272/
