  2. Awesome shave Paul! I used to be sad that I didn't have a prominent Adam's Apple. In fact, it is invisible. Little did I know that this physical oddity would be a blessing because it's easier to use a straight razor in that area. Of course, I have very little stubble there.

Day 2 with the FH. Just a great razor, I feel fortunate to have been able to pick up such a fine example a year or so ago from Keith. This nice soap came from a trade with Gary and the A&E is a quality product as well. Pairs well with Shulton for sure. 2 easy passes today with good results. This is the stiffest of my 3 big Omega Pros. The tips have split nicely, though.
Laughable in the past that Old Spice would have ever been considered Decadent, but I kinda feel that way with a healthy dose of the original.
    Have a great day all!
  4. Thank you Joe.

  10. Awesome shave, pic, lineup and writeup, Maestro! Dovo is a quality brand. I am glad you are approaching BBS on your neck. Have an awesome day!
  11. Great looking shave, Perry!
I wonder if Parker will listen to feedback and make a V2 injector that is more efficient. Based on reading your experiences so far, I cannot imagine wanting to use the razor under the level 5 setting.
  12. Thank you Joe.....that AA has given me real trouble over the years(and I don't mean Alcoholics Anon.) .Less so since joining TSD. I didn't know there would be a "Stubble-Adams Apple" connection, such as in your case.

SOTD THURSDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 3, 2020

Great shave this morning on my second outing with the scent-muted Kaizen. A&E Kaizen is a super lathering croap with great post shave skin feel which would be killer with just a very slight clean, soapy scent like MWF. Nevertheless, 5 drops of wintergreen oil effectively neutralizes the scent and provided a great platform for this morning’s shave.

A friend mentioned my Colonial Silversmith yesterday in conversation. My dome shave with it this morning was much better than yesterday’s run with the Blackland Tradere. There are those who love the Tradere shave, and in all fairness, beard growth and whisker type definitely play a part. I now only use safety razors for my dome shaves.

So comparing dome stubble to facial whiskers is like apples to oranges. So I’ll qualify my last statement by saying that the Silversmith provides a much more efficient two pass (ATG, ATG) dome shave for me. YMMV! The Feather DX is really growing on me. It delivered another flawless three pass (WTG, ATG, XTG) mug shave that again checked all the boxes. I feel refreshed, clean and smoothly velveteen.

RAZOR: Feather Wood Handled DX (Mug), Colonial Silversmith (Dome)
BLADE: Feather Super AC (Mug), Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Rearden Razor 316L SS Tuxedo Synth
    CROAP: A&E Kaizen
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Cremo Cooling Post Shave Balm.

  18. Thursday's Shave

    MÜHLE R89
    Personna Platinum Chrome (2)
    Omega 10066
    Cella
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Grand Bay, Bay Rum Aftershave

Third day in a row for Cella and I probably had my best lather yet from it. After slowly adding more water than I had been doing, the lather was thinner but much slicker. I also noticed the lather rinsed off the razor more quickly. I've been loading the brush for my usual 30 seconds, so I may have more than I need, which would account for the additional water benefiting the resulting lather.

Three easy passes provided a very comfortable and efficient shave this morning with no irritation or mishaps. BBS everywhere except my lower neck, which I performed WTG passes only. I haven't used the Grand Bay in a while and it was a nice finish to the shave.
