Thanks, Jeff. No big trade secret, that's for sure. I do try for a vintage look, fwiw. We have a large, old home that has a sitting room (completely useless except for aesthetics) at the top of the stairs. We have an antique wardrobe in it with a few chairs, etc. Most of my pics are taken on top of that wardrobe for three main reasons- it is between the bedroom and bathroom (I have to walk right by it and apparently I am lazy!!!), I like the 1/4 sawn white oak and I will often take two or three days worth at once (remember the lazy part?). On top of the wardrobe is a small lamp (as well as various knick knacks such as the oft shown fire engine). I turn off the main light in the sitting room and just use the glow from the warm light bulb in the lamp. There are also vivid or warm filters on my iPhone. I will often use one of those and turn up the saturation on the colour if I think it looks too bland. Rarely I will use the vignette feature and darken the edges.
If not there, I will sometimes use the antique dining room table. The chandeliers in that room are dimable as well and I can kind of recreate the 'golden hour' for natural light photos. I'll do that for tomorrow's photo so you can see the difference. I'll turn the light way down and try for the usual spartan look.

Great shave Perry! Sounds like the Parker is a great beginner's razor but needs amped up for a pro like you. Take care.

Love the shave pic and the turned chess pieces, Danny. I'd like to know how your chessboard construction goes. It isn't a super easy project to do well. Quite a few laminations and resawing on a table saw to get it seamless/gapless. The carving detail on the pieces always scared me off of turning them, too...

Thanks, Danny! Twin blades might amp it up some, but they're expensive and finicky. Not worth it again.

Glad you're still enjoying the splash, Patrick. Is there anything special you do to those Carbon blades between shaves?

Wonderful shave and pic, Joseph. The repeated WTG seems to be working for both Keith and yourself.

Thank you Andrew. I forget I have the Guerlain Vetiver. I need to use it more often.

What a pic! Love the look of the steel in that blade for sure. The work of a true pro, Blair. The software (and packaging) sounds outstanding as well. Congrats.
