Sounds great. I could swing buy and pick Perry @PLAla. I'll check out some places in the Anniston area. I know someone over in that area that should be able to recommend a restaurant. We need to shoot for sometime in January.
I certainly will let you know. The best place that I had found was called the Rib Ranch, but unfortunately it closed about three years ago. I think it had been there 35 years too. The owner of the building wouldn't renew their lease.
Good for you, Patrick! I’ve been headshaving with safety razors for decades. I’ll never use a straight on my noggin! I’d like to see someone else do it however!
Hmm.....if it's sometime in January.....I might be ~6 hours from Anniston. Road Trip! Um....ok....road trip extended edition!
I appreciate the suggestion, but more soaps hold no interest for me. I’m very content with what I have! Now new vintage straights! That’s a horse of a different color!
You are welcome Jason. Actually, I wet my face with the brush and then I facelathered, but as you saw in the video, I hit the puck again to make the lather thicker. In this shave, I did not go back and rewet the tips because my brush had enough moisture. I usually rewet my face in between passes and I do rewet the tips as needed. However, this was really a practice video and I didn't want to make it long. I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys Saturday's video will be more detailed with my typical routine.
Thanks Andrew! Having close to 450, actually 449 open blade shaves will do that for anyone. I enjoy shaving with straights and shavettes.
I am in NW Atlanta Metro. Since I am on the way, you could pick me up in your limo? Heck, if we were in that area of the state, let's make sure to stop by Talledega and take a few laps too.
Thank you Jeff! On my 450th open blade shave, I will be shaving with Mad Max this Saturday. I will make a video of it.
