Beautiful open comb. My favorite DEs are open comb razors. Chris - enjoying learning, whatever the subject
See that? I just couldn't find the scent decription part. Will review, looking for your research. Man, I'd have to do some serious swirling work to make sure to get the base notes mixed well into the persuasion. And now I know what happened.,...Clyde put in the soap picture after he presumably received complaints that there was no soap, just "gifts" when you type it in.
Have you shaved with a Barbasol FH. When i was at the shave collectibles meeting, I met this Barbasol collector, who when he heard I liked efficient shavers, loaned me a user FH. It is a remarkable shaver. My shave was so good, I bought one of his NOS packages. I don't regret it. I actually use it more than many of my modern artisan offerings.
Great shave and report, Myles! Congratulations on your first successful straight shave. You're beating me out. There were 5 years between my first and second straight shaves. It's great that you like the new Red Tip. They're great shavers. I sold mine along with my Black Tip after acquiring a Fatboy. I regret the sale. The Red Tip is a fabulous shaver. Hold on to it. Enjoy your shaves.
thank you Chris.mine as well.i mix my gillette oc heads with gillette's later era heavier handles as the stock hollow handles that came with them are too light.they tend to be head heavy which helps find the correct angle but i like a balanced razor.thankfully like meccano they all interchange for the most part.fine old school well balanced 70+gram razors with great smoothness and efficiency..win win ..
Thanks, Andrew! I enjoyed the Rex Ambassador shave, but on reflection, given the amount of use it gets, its going on the block with the Tradere. I'm putting together abundle package on the auction site with five to 10 decent razors out of curiosity to see how it does. I would gladly make some incredible deals to get rid of a lot of my excess safety razor capacity. All people need to do is look at my den safety razors and make an offer. I probably will not refuse. Enjoy your shaves.
I've been drinking them for probably longer than you've been walking the planet, Andrew. I will say, that I prefer my own mixology at this point. The ideal is a Makers Manhattan with Tribune sweet vermouth up. I used to drink perfect Manhattans, but have gone for sweet as I've aged.
2000+ posts in 4 days..awesome..a 10.000 post DEcember would be a cool end to a a not so great year.hopefully a better year next year for everyone..
Your lather looks like about 99% of mine do with MWF. I only have 4-5 shaves remaining with my puck and have tried every tip imaginable. Even when the lather does start to look like it should, it quickly reverts back to being too airy until it eventually dissipates completely. Great looking lineup otherwise, Patrick!
