I have a 59 red tip here that was buried in the ground for years. Sadly its beyond plating. May just start using it in its rough condition again since it shaved so well.

very cool Patrick .i remember you cleaning that one up..in theory if you ride just off the cap and it's geometry is straight it should shave fine..

Yes I refinished it a couple times but doors stuck from thick coats of paint . I may give it a taste of automotive wheel acid to get it to the copper and just wing it from there .
