The only way I can protect myself is to convince myself that I want it in 7/8, which conveniently isn't available! And if you source one, wiseguy, I'll make sure they substitute glass for potato chips at your MOLC initiation!
I don't have a styptic(course I can buy one at CVS), and there wasn't any blood-they just "showed up". Thank you Joe...I finished my "at home workout".
It's part of shaving. I am just glad that it went smoothly. I can see getting nervous when doing a video of your first straight razor shave. However, with many shaves under my built, I am really on autopilot. I have my students subscribed to my channel so I didn't want them to see me injure myself. You guys would understand if I had a mishap.
I always appreciate and enjoy your posts Jeff. What I think I noticed was a few people, not me, feeling obligated to read every post and reply to everyone, which can be stressful at these volumes. I was saying it's okay to relax. It's okay to skip. It's okay to like and not reply. Of course, getting replies is awesome. If posting was just firing comments off into the dark it wouldn't be as much fun so don't feel guilty about replying, but just don't feel obligated. Sometimes people need permission to relax. They need that confirmation that it's okay. I was trying to provide that. If you aren't feeling stressed or overwhelmed, don't worry. it's all good! Posts and replies are still awesome! As I said, I think I like the performance of carbon steel a little more. I said I would only shave with gold, rhodium, or stainless in DECember. I'm living up to my comments. The Dovo Special is an awesome razor! Honestly I like using it a little more than the Inox. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Here it is guys! My shave video using my Mad Max. The video is dedicated to @Primotenore Maestro because he asked me to do a video with Mad Max.This one is for you Maestro. Again, I am sorry about the audio so I would suggest putting your audio way up. I will just say that the razor's spine width makes me change my technique in that I have to turn more away from the camera. Anyway, enjoy watching the video. It is relatively short. It's only 15 min.
