  1. I think granddad was claustrophobic. We lost alot of great men and on the European front it was basically brother killing brother. If my grandfather could have seen what this country has become I don't think he would have signed up. He did not fight for this mess.

  9. December 7th
    Menthol Monday

    Razor: Gillette Goodwill
    Blade: Feather Hi-Stainlesss
    Brush: The Blue Monster
    SS & AS: Proraso Green

I do think it's ironic that decedent for me is the first razor Gillette gave away for free with a pack of blades. It's gold plated so that counts

I don't think I'd used a feather in a Goodwill before. It worked well, but the feather is just a touch too sharp for me. I end up getting a few more weepers than I do with other blades, even the other extremely sharp blades. The shave was BBS close with a few small weepers. Basically, any small bump poses a problem and my face does show it's 45 years with a few wrinkles and rough spots. I guess if I'm going to use feather blades I need to learn to make it work.

BTW, did you guys know there's a Christmas tree shortage this year? Apparently, a record number of people are deciding to splurge and get the real thing. Yes, we were able to get a tree, but it cost about 20% more than usual and the lot had maybe 2 acceptable trees left. The rest had large thin spots, broken branches, or were extremely crooked. :) 2020 continues to amaze me.

  12. I have seen it written a few times that there were two different early E models, even though both are considered E2s. I must have had the milder one, as I found no difference between the E2 I had and the E3 I kept. I sold the cased E2 for that reason- just not different enough to keep. For that matter, the G4 ('66') is quite similar as well, albeit with a different head angle than the E3. Might just be bent, too...
  13. Absolutely great shave Jason. Beautiful looking brush as well.

    Thank you Perry.

    Thank you Joe.
    1. The aftershave and soap do have the same scent to my nose. However, the scent strength of the aftershave is much greater. Between the soap and aftershave, the aftershave takes the show with the scent and face feel
    2. I would say I pick up the scent a couple of hours or so. I will say that this about the amount of time, I pick up all my aftershaves.
    3. I have never tried the shave stick. @Droo78 Andrew I thought commented that the aftershave had a different scent than the shave stick.

Thank you Danny. I didn't even polish this one up. :D

    Thank you Blair

    Thank you Gary.

Thank you Jeff. The Pils is heavy considered the thin handle. It weights 119 grams.
