Almost every USPS package shipped or received takes longer than expected lately. I would add that if you are shipping a package and want a reasonable expectation of it arriving as expected....do not put it in one of those silver package dump bins at a post office. I've had several packages (since late October) that I've shipped priority mail, put in that bin....normally a 2 day turn for delivery most other times....take 2 weeks just to get scanned into the system, then start it's transit. If you have a package with postage pre-printed, hand it to a USPS worker at the counter and ask for a manual 'receipt confirmation'. It'll move faster. Or, put in your mailbox...it should get the same immediate sorting attention. Or...drop it off at a UPS location, same package attention when USPS goes by daily. Just don't drop it off on a counter, or in a package bin, even if it's not been a problem in the past....'cause it likely will be now.
Gentlemen, I sincerely appreciate the well-wishes and prayers. Thank you. Thank you most especially, Jeff. I read 3 John 1:2 this morning as part of my daily Scripture reading. Amen and Amen! By the end of the year, I will have read The Bible cover-to-cover seven times. God's Word speaks to me in new ways all the time. Just like now. I can't imagine life without it. Thank you, my friend.
Wow, and I struggle to read a couple chapters a day. Well done. Chris - enjoying learning, whatever the subject
The problem for me isn't with my local post office it's the Denver Distribution Center. It has become a black hole as of late. Normally I'll get my stuff the day after it hits the Distribution Center. Lately it'll take a week to get from there to my local post office which is 25 minutes away. You and Kathy will remain in my prayers. 4 months between hair trims must make you feel like you're about 10 pounds lighter. Tabarian Lavac... hmmm...that might be a good combo actually.
Praying for Kathy to make a quick recovery. Did you trademark Tabarian Lavac???? Praying your father recoveries his strength quickly.
Wednesday Shave: I decided to repeat yesterday's shave tools with Snail Forge straight and CK-6 formula leading the parade. I changed up the order, XTG1, XTG2, ATG WTG, moving ATG from the second to third pass. Similar results to yesterday but with a tickle from the alum. Irritation A, Smoothness A.
It's definitely been crazy lately, I've been trying to call USPS about an order all day, the ebay seller dropped it off at the post office and instead of the post office scanning it as "accepted" they scanned it as "delivered"
Yes, Idk how they managed to do that. Hopefully if it goes in transit on a vehicle, maybe at the next scan it will correct the tracking info.
Funny you mention that Evan. Butterknife version II is on the drawing board. I'm also quite certain Jason @jtspartan would be up to the challenge as would I . At least with a wedge blade I could permanently affix it so it could be honed and stripped. The SE blades I used were SS and a real pain to change hence Version II.
A lot of things hinge on that 'delivered' status....fingers crossed for you, hopefully that works itself out.
Tuesday's Shave Eversharp/Schick J1 Schick Blade Turn-N-Shave 'Party Brush' CRSW 'Juniper' Shaving Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel Pitralon Classic Aftershave The cedar scented Pitralon is a perfect match for the Juniper soap in my opinion. Excellent choice for a cold, brisk day like today. It has been a while since I used this soap and I forgot what a wonderful lather it produces. The residual slickness is really top notch and I have to make sure I fully wash any soap off my hands before handling the razor. 3 passes with the J1 injector provided a comfortable and efficient shave without irritation or mishaps this morning.
