Terrinitis is spreading and we do not have a vaccine yet.

  6. We are getting more and more of these facilities here in North Atlanta. I think the cities really like them because it helps the tax base without adding to the school system like regular apartments. Not that I am ready but I have noticed the prices are dropping with increased competition.
  7. :happy097::happy097: You're too funny. I don't think you have to worry about me chopping up a razor. A shaving brush maybe but not a razor. Plus the walk to the mailbox left me so winded I don't have it in me to go get the Dremel. :D
  8. :happy088: Hang in there you will be back to normal in a couple of days.

A rare midday shave. An easy 2 pass shave with the humble Tech. A great lather and I finished with a ‘loud and proud’ dose of the splash for the benefit of no one but me.
I am off work today, as I used a vacation day. Weird feeling today. I realized that I haven’t been truly alone for a full day in probably a year. No noise, no family, in the house is so rare during the State of Emergency. Slept in to 7:30, couple cups of coffee, a little workout, polished a couple of razors, off to the lathe room. Even got to respond without a Shavette Fu on here... :)

Haven’t really been able to take much vacation time since the pandemic hit, so I’m taking a day this week and a day next as I have to use em or lose em by the end of the year apparently. I’ll also have a similar break to my wife and kids at Christmas, which will be nice.

    Have a great day all!

  15. Yes, definitely blessed with this staff & facility being what it is, it's location and affordable for Dad. It's a baby step from a nursing home.

The biggest blessing though, is Dad's acceptance/realization that he needed a place (and our help) as much, if not more than Mom did. It took awhile. He's from the 'I'm tough, bang my chest generation of the 30s. When we first moved them here, Mom went straight to a nursing home. Lasted almost 2 years. Dad, lived with us for a bit of that. Tough situation. He was straight out of the hospital, recovering, but still looking at major surgery. I had 4 doctor visits to manage and escort him to every 30 days. A specialist did a lot of tests, decided not to operate, too risky, wait it out (and it resolved itself mostly). We've now gotten to 3-6 month follow ups for all those same doctors, so his health is better overall....he listens to wifey and those facilities nurses so much better than listening to me or his brothers/sisters.
